Huh? I disrespected someone? When? Couldn't have been when I was expressing my thoughts about tattoos since they weren't directed at anyone in particular. I think tattoos are a bad long-term decision. It's not something you can [easily] fix. Example: I saw a chick who had "THUG LIFE" tattooed in giant letters across her butt. I roll at the thought of her in forty or even thirty years when it's no longer funny and she has to either regret it for the rest of her life or spend big buck$$$ getting it removed. (I know this is not always the case, that's why it's an example and not a rule, no need to point it out, thanks) That's more than enough reason to dissuade me from getting a tattoo. I do like some of the pictures I've seen, but not enough to plaster them on my body. But hey, if you wanna do it, it's your body and that's your business.

tl;dr quit taking dissenting opinions personally, no one's attacking you

Where other than internet porn sites can you find pictures of girls' butt tattoos >.<

I don't like tattoos and probably will never have one. If I were to get one, it would be a Pokemon one though :p

I would get Machamp's belt tattooed to my waist.

I'm just gonna' say I dislike the idea of getting a tattoo myself and never plan on getting one without very good reason (for example, if I was old enough when it happened I would have gotten a tattoo with the Pringles man once our grandfather, "Papa Pringles" passed away three years back).

That aside, the one you posted looks pretty cool. The lack of color almost makes it look cooler since it reminds you that there was no color for Blastoise in the beginning (Red/Blue) haha.

I personally don't mind tattoos. In fact I think they look great if done correctly. Would I ever get one, I have thought about it and leaning towards no as I think about the cost, but it is a form of art and expression that I respect. If somebody wants to decorate their body with ink, it is the same as with clothes, piercings, and makeup. I'm not saying that anybody's opinion is wrong, as this is mine, but some of these comments came across as shots fired and not opinions.

Wearing a different type of clothing is different that tattoos and piercings. Clothes don't leave a mark on your body. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I have no desire to ever have a tattoo or piercing. It makes me cringe.

Question: Why are you gonna care what you look like when your "older", are you really trying to impress people with your fashion sense and clear skin when you're in your 60's 70's? How about when I have kids and they'll ask me whats that on my leg then I get to share a bonding moment and introduce them to something I was into when I was their age? I have a MUCH bigger tattoo on my arm but it's not Pokemon related so I didn't post it and I wont, but I won't care when I'm old and see it all wrinkled, ill just look at it and remember the memories of why I got it. And if you have no desire to get a tattoo THEN WHY ARE YOU IN A THREAD CALLED POKEMON TATTOOS just to bitch at ppl who have them and tell us how bad a thing it is to do to yourself? Keep your opinion like that to yourself its not like this was another thread where we brought up tattoos you actively seek out to troll us and no one here cares what you think I simply wanted to see if other had Pokemon themed tattoos and what they are not to discuss weather its morally right or wrong to get them. GOOD DAY SIR!

I dunno if you like Druddigon, but... Druddigon.

Druddigon is gen 5. Gen 6 is the new stuff we haven't seen yet. I'll likely be finishing this come tax time next year, so X and Y will be very prevalent to everything!

...DANGIT, I read it as Gen 5.
Anyway, last thing I'll leave here is that my grandfather (who is about 65 I believe?) has tattoos all over his body and they still look great, just a little bit faded. I remember being young and asking him why he had one of a mongoose clawing into his leg, so omod's point about how they open up discussion with people (especially kids) is one I find personally valid.

Let's be honest, most people get tattoos for "Banter" or "fun". Most tattoos these day have no sentimental or bonding value, nor a story to come with. Most girls want a flower or butterfly, my Girlfriend is the same. Why ? Because they say they are pretty that's it. Yeah, I would care what I look like when I am 60, I like to look smart and presentable. It's been proven, employers sometimes are discouraged to give the job to someone with tattoos. They can be seen as "thuggish". Though I don't think this, others do. If you are in a job, where you need to look presentable and a tattoo can be seen then you're not seen as presentable. We have a girl in my college course, she isn't allowed to wait on tables because she has a rose on her hand. There isn't any need for a tattoo or piercing, it's rather simple. The con's outweigh the pro's .

The cons only outweigh the pros because people still haven't been able to grow up and get rid of the stigma that comes with getting a tattoo. I hear so many people call others freaks because they have tattoos. I'll never get one on a place like my hand or neck, just because I cannot cover them up when needed. But why should I even have to cover any of mine up? Every single one of my tattoos I got, I do not regret, and i know the meaning behind all of them. I'm a nerd at heart, so my left arm is dedicated to some of my favorite video game and show characters. My left arm is just for Pokemon. I'm planning to eventually have a full color sleeve there. More people comment on my ink saying how much they like them than folks telling me the opposite.

It's my body. I chose to do this to it, so I'll accept what comes with it. I just think it's crap that this many years have passed and the stigma still hasn't fully passed.

pokemon=thug life
Tattoos are everywhere now a days, A LOT of people have them so its gonna become more common as this generation get older. Also not sure how a job employer would see tattoos on your body that aren't visible with a suit on... PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT YOUR THEORY'S ON TATTOOS AND WHY THEY ARE BAD I REALLLLLYYY just want for people to post pics of pokemon tattoos not have a discussion on ethics....

To say people don't get tattoos for a good reason or it has no meaning...sheesh you're very narrow minded. I'd like to see you say that to someone who has their deceased grandmother or an image paying homage to a family member or an ideal. Anyway like omod said and I said before actually this thread is to SHOWCASE tattoos not discuss why you or anyone thinks it's immoral to get a tattoo. In case you don't get it your words fall upon deaf ears here are people who are OK with this form of art (Like me) or have it themselves. (Like omod) Just leave us be and be about your business....

No, I said most people not all. I know people who have a tattoo to pay homage for a deceased loved one. I respect you if you have a tattoo with a meaning, I just am not a fan of them myself. I don't mind looking at tattoos but I would never have one. It's in General Pokemon discussion, this promotes the idea of a discussion not a showcase.

Await why are piercing w being brought into this. I hope you mean facial piercings because ear piercings can be taken out and barely ever noticed(except gauges but that's a different story) for example. I'm 14 and have an ear piercing and have had one since i was 11 but stopped wearing them because of my active involvement in sports (they don't let you wear them) and only people who have seen me with them in know that I have them.

My Suicune :)

As far as all the banter regarding tattoos and professionalism, all of my tattoos are easily hidden by business attire, so why does that matter?

Now, I'm too young to get a tattoo, but if I were to get one it would be something like this.

While I respect everyone's decisions on both sides of the argument.. can everyone please hush up about it, I want to see more tattoos and this thread has become almost purely argumentative. That wasn't the original point of the post.

Now, to perpetuate things a little bit, here's my contribution. This isn't my tattoo, just an awesome one.

Forums are made for discussions and arguments, don't discourage that. This thread is open for all discussion relating to the topic as well as the images so long as there isn't any full out bashing against someone.

If you didn't want a discussion and purely want to view Pokémon Tattoos, go on Google Images. As Elite Stride mentioned, it is a forum, for discussion on topics .
