Pokemon Pokemon Plotholes Discussion Thread

The water Pokémon run around looking for a puddle, and then they drink (but don't swallow) it, and they go back to their enemy and spit water in their face. Same thing with Razor leaf, they just pick up a handful of leaves, and throw them.

I don't know if this was mentioned but how can water Pokemon fight on land in land battles. Wailord and Magikarp never do that in the anime so why would they do it in DPP? It doesn't make sense to me but it does make battling a whole lot easier because without that plothole, you could never use water Pokemon very often because most DPP battles exist on dry, soild terrain. :)

I kind of have one. When water pokemon use water gun are they creating new matter? It sort of seems like the pokemon world should be flooding with the infinite amount of water pokemon keep spitting out. This also goes for grass types and razor leaf

I'm not sure about that, but like for poison attacks, pokemons' bodies are constantly making new poison, as humans make blood and saliva.

Interesting idea, I also realised, when you fire a water gun (in the anime and the games) does the water seemingly disappear? Also, if the pokemon world experienced global warming, would fire and electric types have attack restrictions?

If everything in the PokeDex were as depicted, the world would be a really messed up place...

1) People would have to replace their windows at least 2 times a year, because of Yanmega swarms.
2) People would have to have Pokemon pest control companies to protect their houses from getting eaten by Raticate.
3) There would be reports on the news about mad Gyarados destroying cities left and right.
4) There would be massive whirlpools when all the Kingdra get sleepy, and outbreaks of tornadoes when they wake up.
5) People would be using Pokemon like Xatu and Alakazam to cheat at casinos.
6) The landscape would be barren from all of the Muk trainers roaming around (unless Shaymin makes flowers and plants appear again?).
7) The mountains would come falling down because some mean trainer abused their Tyranitar, who needed to vent afterwards.
8) People would have to find a way to protect their homes at night from roaming Hypno and Drowzee that prey on people in their sleep.

true. I would hate to live in the pokemon world.

Not to mention fending of wild packs of Houndooms being a priority. (Reference to G/S/C dex entry) Poor, Poor, bitten people and pokes, feeling the burn forever.

Though one thing's for certain, energy is never going to be a problem with perpetual energy coming out of every pokemon, or at least extremely efficient. Food probably isn't going to be that muych of a problem either. No more "dirty" energy...

And now explain to me how you would use a Steelix when battling on the ocean against a Goldeen.

I can somehow see the physics of a giant 30 ft snake made of twisted metal trying to swim be a bit problematic.

Then explain the same for Golem?

Oh gee, Lucario is special because he understands human speech. Now how can every other Pokémon respond to a trainer when he/she calls an attack?[/o.o]

Fat can actually float on water. So you have to change your question to "How can Rhydon/perior use Surf?"

Okay than, how can rhydon/perior use surf.

The question still stands about the legs reaching the water, or maybe the trainer sticks a sail in the bellybutton.

Rofl fissure makes you fall in a hole but you can hold on with focus sash. hmm.
