'Pokekyun Collection' Mini-Set Coming January!

I signed in for the first time in a LOOOONG time just to make this comment...

As an Eeveelution addict, I was already BEYOND excited when I saw the translation, despite the lack of a picture. But now I.... I.... I.... I can't take it anymore! Give it to us, NOW! Just that pose is SO FRIGGEN CUUUUUUUUUTE! And then... then that pokepuff in its eyes! *dies from cuteness overload*

As for play-ability... My dear friends, do my eyes deceive me? Are we looking at a card that will spawn a new deck idea? Yes. Yes, I believe we are. Team Magma's Camerupt and Emboar have already been mentioned, but are we forgetting Blacksmith, too? I can't WAIT to get my hands on this when it comes out in English! I'm expecting to see multiple deck variations of this thing when it comes out. Whether or not it'll be a truly competitive deck or not.... we'll have to wait and see. Regardless of variation, it DOES need to have an answer to Seismitoad EX, or it'll just drown (pun intended).
 
This is a kinda boring idea but Flareon EX seems like a great bats deck. You can get Flareon to attack turn 1 with a Blacksmith which would be 110, 130 with muscle band. If you use Flash Fire then thats 150 turn 1, which is 170 with a Golbat. Crobat can snipe with its own attack, and then the free retreat and Flash Fire allows you to transfer energy off of it the next turn if it isnt KOd and put it back onto Flareon. Blacksmith, Max Elixirs plus its own ability seems like more enough to get Flareon going and could create a speed deck perhaps
 
It's almost sad that this mini-set is looking (competitive wise) better than some recent main expansions. Some of the cards here may be decent at best, but definitely better than filler EXs we've seen like Magnezone.

Not to mention the Yveltal and the likely Xerneas reprints will be useful.
 
This card is the final card in the set unless for some random reason, there are secret rares. This card looks amazing though :).

And what about Snorunt? It has to be before Froslass, so it's 008. Maybe Fletchinder or Talonflame being colorless type?
Also, I think 001 could be Celebi. It's the only grass type pokemon in the pokedex before Shroomish that doesn't evolve.

Technically there's also Shuckle, Pinsir and Heracross, but I agree with you on Celebi. The only other candidate I can see is Shuckle, but I can also see them make Shroomish 001, and then have Brelooom be 002, since Breloom also is kinda cute :3
 
Oh, I forgot about bug type pokemon ahahaha

I've heard that Wobbufett will be on this set too...Maybe a Bide Barricade reprint?
