a) its the middle of a generation. They've never introduced new Pokemon in the middle of a generation (excluding formes)
b) why in ORAS and not the 2nd Kalos instalment? Audino has zero presence in ORAS and is almost guaranteed not to be in the main dex (see the hoenndex thread in the oras forum for more)
c) it's abilities. there would be absolutely zero gain for Regenerator to just disappear through evolution, I don't think its ever happened before. (that a Pokemon loses an ability through evolution)

they made the slow- line even more pathetic which is perfect. Audino looks pretty cool, audinos to me haven't been a pokemon to love or hate, they just exist and you thank them for that.
I find it funny that mega evolving stole Slowbro's smile.
OK... these are honestly some of the worst Mega Evolutions I've seen, at least design-wise. Mega Slowbro makes Manectric look like a masterpiece.
Also, Mega Audino? I guess we'll be seeing more non-evolving Pokemon getting Mega Evolutions instead of regular evolutions.

I'm still on-the-fence about Mega Slowbro, but otherwise it appears to be a love-it-or-hate-it Pokémon. It's absolutely worse than Mega Manectric; oddly enough, I've seen this comparison thrown around on various sites, and I don't get it. Mega Manectric is one of my favorites.
I'm not one of those people clamoring for a Slowking Mega now. After Slowking's introduction, I always felt Slowbro was less interesting, so I'm glad it got a Mega...however ambivalent I am about the design.

Mega Slowbro looks kind of funny, but what should we expect from a Slowpoke line? Might be okay though.
Mega Audino? Why? First of all, there are plenty of other gen 5 Pokemon that would be better, one could say more deserving. It's increases are all defensive, which can have value but I think other Pokemon are still better with that, let alone other megas. The only redeeming values I see here are the fact it's cute (this has no relevance whatsoever game wise) and getting the Fairy addition. Otherwise, again with the WHY?

I posted this in the other thread, but I felt sorry for Mega Slowbro. It looks like it's about to get eaten. I'm glad to know it's just using the shell as armor. It's a neat design.
I always thought Audino should have been reclassed to Fairy in Gen 6, so it's nice to see that its mega gets an added Fairy typing.

That's completely untrue. A lot of Pokémon lose their ability for a new one when evolving. Trapinch, Nincada, etc. Numel doesn't even share a single one of it's 3 abilities with Camerupt. If you meant a Pokémon losing it's ability without gaining a new one, but at the same time retaining an old one, then I believe you may be correct.

That just looks rather suspicious, because:
1) It adds to the "No Mega Icon" conspiracy.
2) No move has ever been added out of the blue. If it was programmed, we would have known already like we did with Light of Ruin. (Of course this point crumbles to the ground because of the new Megas being added by some sort of patch to XY, but still, I believe it's different with attacks...)

Come on guys. Not every Pokemon can looks cool and badass when it Mega Evolves, so how about you open up to some silly designs. And as for everyone complaining that Shell Armor is a horrible ability, it literally has the shell around it's entire body, Shell Armor makes the most sense. Not everything needs to be amazingly powerful and useful competitive wise, normal Slowbro already has that covered. Could you guys imagine a Mega Slowbro WITH Regeneration? You'd all be complaining even more when it's unbelievably annoying to knock out.
This was all over 4chan's /vp/ board, most people came to realize that Mega Audino is most likely using Heal Pulse (it literally shows Sceptile being healed by it). These pictures weren't even meant to be leaked, so a little screw up like Blaziken turning to Combusken isn't very hard to believe, it could have been a number of things. I also COMPLETELY doubt that they'd add a feature this big in a remake game. I feel like this would be a huge plot point in it's own Gen (like how Mega evolution was in Gen 6).

Mega Audino was listed as a Mega Evolution on the Korean site and under the Mega Evolution section. It's just a beta screenshot with an error, that's all. There have been errors in screenshots like this a few times before.
