  • Dusknoir was the ultimate TR setter back in Gen 4. I'm not sure if Dusclops gets TR though; if he does, use him instead.
The problem with using Latias as a partner is that Latias is pretty fast (last I checked, its base speed is 110). You want to use it with someone who can actually benefit from Trick Room, such as Reuniclus, or even better yet a Ghost-type like Dusknoir or Cofagrigus - all those are really slow, and Ghost-types are immune to Fake Out, which otherwise cripples TR teams from setting up.
Alright, I see now. That does sound like fun. I'll try that with my sister on BR. Maybe with Latias as partner? (Levitate for Earthquake and it can use Trick Room)
Regigigas has the ability "Slow Start". When he is sent out, his Attack and Speed are both halved for 5 turns (his normal base Attack and Speed are 160 and 100 respectively, so after that they become basically 80 and 50).

As such, you need to try and play around this flaw. You can either have a partner use Skill Swap to take the ability off him and let him fight at full power right away, or, you can have the partner use Trick Room to let Gigas hit first, but at cut power. (Plus, it trolls your opponents.)

Those are the two most common used. I chose a Skill Swap strategy, and although I went 3-4 that day, it worked for the most part, and did exactly what I needed it to do.
I'm saving up for each Power item. Actually, I haven't tried Regigigas in doubles yet... But I didn't wan't to move it from my 4th gen games.:( Why is it challenging?
I actually played at Regs in November. I didn't expect to topcut or anything - I went in to have fun, and have fun I did indeed. (Have you tried running Regigigas in Doubles? It's a very fun challenge.)

I don't really "practice" for it either; I play with my favorites and just roll with it.

PokeRus + Macho Brace is good, but don't you have any Power Items? (You can buy all 6 from the Subway at 16 BP apiece.)
I'm using PokeRus AND a Macho Brace. The problem that I'm having though is that I keep running into the wrong Pokemon. Actually, I'm preparing for the regionals in April. Last year I lost on my second match... :p My ranking? Well I mainly do Double Battles to practice before the event. Currently it's 1484... I know, I'm horibble... XD
It's definitely a lot of work but it IS worth it. Pokerus will make it even faster, if you can get a hold of it. (Normally EV training 1 Pokemon takes about 1 hour if I'm using Power Items and such. Pokerus lessened that to about 20 minutes.)

What is your battle record, anyway?
Not exactly, I just learned how to EV train. It's not fun!!! :( Other than that, completely for fun. You'd know once you see my battle record. XP My sister, EV train!? Not until she gets a Pokemon Game of her own! Besides, she's too little to understand... (It drove me nuts for 6 MONTHZ)
u herd rong; i dun liek mudchipz

I take it neither of you are hip to EV training, then? You just play totally for fun?
I mainly play Black, because overall, I'm awfull at the Video Game. So I'm trying to improve. I also like to play Battle Revolution with my sister (and my copied Lv. 100's). And so I herd u liek Sour Cream and Onion Mudchipz?
With a name like 'sour cream and onion', I will forever be confused as to why those chips would be delicious. It just doesn't seem like the two would mesh together well.

Video games such as what, exactly?
Mmm... playing Video Games and beating my sister at them, I geuss. (Sour Cream and Onion Chips are delicious)
Snow, eh? I don't get snow in my area at all, so it's fortunate that you do. Other than the snow, what else are you doing?
