  • ...Worlds 2011 Scrafty is what I'm looking for. I already have a copy of the Nats Larvitar.
You might know someone who knows someone who has it, but I'm still looking around.
I get a lot of people frequenting my trade thread on another site (which is pretty popular right now), so the odds of me finding one are somewhat high. Maybe I can find someone who traded theirs to someone else who might trade it to me in exchange for some other event...
The biggest problem is finding someone with a Worlds Scrafty. Only about 1000 people in the world have one. I am trying to find someone who has it, though, but so far that search hasn't gone all too well.

A shiny Larvitar? I might use it on my team, but I already have several Tyranitar waiting in the wings. It's possible, though! It's Adamant and comes with Superpower, which could help.
I got miffed at myself for leaving Worlds 2011 early (yeah, I was there). I heard there wasn't going to be an event on Sunday...or more accurately, the one that would have been there was a C-Gear Skin, which I got already. And boom, I leave Saturday night, Sunday comes around, and I miss out on the Scrafty. Urgh.

At least I got the event from Nationals this year! Shiny Larvitar :D
My team-building has been put on hold for now but I can at least write the team out. The reason is because my Black is en route to Hawaii to pick up the Worlds 2012 event.
It's not that I don't like dealing with him - he's a good friend of mine. I just have really bad luck when fighting him.

I have a team idea written up in my head - it's a sand/stall team. I've had success with sand in the past, so I might as well try it.

And it's totally fine; I assumed that was why your mind was frazzled.
Allergies? Ouch; that's no fun. I've never had any so I don't know what it's like, but I imagine they must suck...

As for me? Let's see, fun with GIMP, finding a B/W Wifi partner for battles (finally), and trying to think of new team ideas! Also whenever I battle this guy I always get haxed a lot. No clue why.

I've got a fairly decent team for 4th Gen Wifi, but 5th is just so utterly different. Everything's so topsy-turvy; I'm still trying to adapt to it. Darn weather wars.
I'm going to start bugging my GM to give me a situation where I can go do that. Any ideas?
I'm actually playing in a tabletop campaign right now that's Pokemon related, and currently Gardevoir is my ace Pokemon. Someone suggested I use her to break Psyche-Locks.

I have yet to actually enact that suggestion, but I want to eventually do so.
An oval? Well, it's close to an oval.

When I was working on the sketch, I was trying to get the Gardevoir's head sketch in, and I was aiming for an oval...but then I realized.

Her head isn't shaped like an oval.
    It's shaped like a magatama.

That was fun to wrap my head around.
Realism is so very tricky. I'm still dissatisfied at my Gardevoir's face. It looks too flat. But eh, learn for next time, I suppose.
I have an idea of what to draw next, but it might be a lot trickier than I envision...it's drawing a person, but in a pose that's identical to some picture I saw. But first I'll need to get the more important stuff (like class-work) out of the way first.
    Thanks!

Traditional methods are a bit time-consuming, yes, but at the same time there is a bit of beauty in simplicity. One day I'd like to learn to be able to draw people - specifically faces. I'm really no good at it right now, and I'd like to be.

Most of what I draw I look at existing drawings of the object (like for the Gardevoir I had about 10 different drawings up for different angles and such), and then try to go off that as best I can.
This one took about 3 hours; this one took about 2.

I take long because I want to actually practice shading with a pencil. Shading takes about half the time, actually.
I love pencil and paper drawing. I'm not all that good at it, but I try to do better each time I take a crack at it.

I've noticed I'll spend about 2-3 hours on a drawing, start to finish, if I want to make it look good (with pencil and paper alone). Is that a reasonable time frame?
    I know you'll get better. =)

You made it yourself? Like on a tablet or Photoshop or something? That's really impressive! It's very well done.
At least it's just a little, and you'll get over it soon! That's always good.

I've been meaning to ask, where'd you find that Gardevoir avatar?
