  • MewMew, I judge very frequently; it's a surprise if I end up playing. Usually I only play if the judge slots are already filled by someone else. Though, if I do end up playing I will need to fill out a decklist...just in case.
MewMew, I myself am going to the Huntington Beach one - it's in the Majestix shop at Old World Village, behind Bella Terra. I'll either be playing or judging - not sure which but probably judging, just to fulfill my "quota".

It's kinda tricky to find, so in case you don't know how to get there, here's how:

405, exit Beach Blvd. If you came from the south (i.e. were on 405 North), take the first right you see - Center Ave, then keep going, passing the freeway on-ramp. If you came from the north, the exit goes to Center Ave, so turn right there. (You can come down Beach Blvd from the north as well, and turn right on Center.)

There are 2 parking lots to Old World - west and east. The west one is more convenient as Majestix is closer to that end, though either way works. Once you're on Center Ave, to get to the east parking lot, turn right on the street where you see the Old World "globe" out front, and then left into the parking lot. For the west one (where I park), go straight, past the globe, and turn right into the parking lot directly off the street. (It's right before the railroad tracks.)

I mention all this because, for people who haven't been before, it's very difficult to find.
MewMew, aw. That's a shame. But I guess that's how it goes...
Do you plan to hit up any BRs this weekend? There's one in Huntington Beach and another one I think in...Norwalk? Or was it Ventura?
    MewMew, oooh. Judging by how you said 'interesting', I'd assume it's not the good kind of interesting ;-;
MewMew, don't really like spectating matches, or don't like high temperatures?
And by then it was 6pm, so it was finally cooling down.
MewMew, yep, pretty much! At round 6, after everyone was done they all gathered around the top table to watch the match (Klinklang vs Plasmabox). It was intense.
MewMew, ahaha, I think I remember hearing about the Gameology one. Nice place, but it was stuffy.
Something similar happened in Fullerton (June 1st); the AC broke down in the middle of the day, and it was 85+ outside. I was there until 7.45pm and didn't get home until 8.15. I had never looked forward to a shower that much in my life.
That's a relief! I hope you get well soon! Fevers (or any kind of illness, really) are no fun at all.

I hear Torrance was run by Kim Cary; are his tourneys really that awesome to go to?
    That is a shame.

    ... ...
They held it at some place called the Monstore, which is actually a really nice place! I was surprised. I was only able to play 1 round, because when round 1 ended, it was already 2pm, and I had to leave to make it to league at 3. Fortunately, I won and then dropped, so I don't feel too bad for the sake of the guy I beat.

Yeah, I'm really going to miss them. At least they're going to keep in touch (I have his number).
MewMew, "wait and see" mode is almost like a pain all its own.

Well, if you decide to come to Montclair, say hi. I'll be wearing a black DNA shirt, so I'm fairly easy to notice. I'll be leaving at 2ish to go to my own league after that, since there's one family there that's moving out of state and today's their last day here.
MewMew, because playmats are more important than decks. :p Haha, I understand; I'm on a bit of a hiatus myself. I'm not going to play, just to see some old friends, and I won't be staying the whole time either - I'd probably leave somewhere around 2.

Things have been pretty neat all things considered! My in-between class break is coming to a close and I start summer classes next week (eep!) so that'll keep some of my time occupied. Pokemon I'm not quite sure; I'm trying to wind down a bit and go do some other things, but I still love socializing with the people. They're all so fantastic.
    Long time no see!
I might be going to Montclair BRs on Saturday, if it means anything.
MewMew, how'm I doing? Well, I'm waiting to see how my magatama plot will work. In the meantime, I'm doing some work on the various courses I have to do this semester - a bio course, a history course, and *shudder* calculus 2. I think calculus 2 is going to be extremely difficult, seeing as I don't remember much of calc 1. I'm trying to refresh my memory though!

...also I'm toying with GIMP; that's always fun
    *click*
THE IDEA HAS COME TO ME!
    *starts writing it down*
    ...this will be beautiful
My Gardevoir-loving friends (read: pretty much anyone over 18) loved hearing it. (Nobody else would understand it.)
Which reminds me...I need to plot something magatama-related.
