I spent about an hour running around my campus getting books and trying to get some papers filed, and that's the only thing of note I accomplished today!

As soon as Time+3 rolled around and Harrison whiffed on the card he needed, I knew Igor was just going to pull a Catcher or Shaymin or something for a win. And boom, there's the Trash Claw he needed! But still, it was a great match; Harrison did do a risky play early on moving all the Pokemon onto Mewtwo with Shaymin to KO the first Darkrai, but lost all his energy later to Igor's own Mewtwo. I still think it was worth it to do just that; he set Igor behind a lot.

...The VGC match was just cruel...poor Wolfe got haxed ;_;

They were so bad they were good! But watching the match was pretty good as well. Hitting the PONT on a topdeck? I predicted it'd be a Juniper, but I was close enough.
I felt a little like this afterwards.

I actually didn't bother watching TTC's invitational. I saw the TCG and VGC finals once; I didn't see much point in seeing them again.

I'm surprised I didn't hear the Professor N comment; I was too busy caught up with the Trash Claw and Professor Orc's New Theory.

I like judging more than playing, and I actually don't play in tournaments very often anymore. But you're right, maybe I do need a break, but I don't want to stop playing completely and not come to league...or do I?

I have high hopes for the November set though, so that might tip things towards the better.

I like to stay local usually, mostly because I prefer judging to playing; I've become rather disenchanted with the tourney scene as of late, ever since the HS-on rotation. It just got really boring really fast and it doesn't show any signs of changing. It's getting progressively harder for me to build innovative decks that work. I had one last shot at glory with Durant but...well, it didn't end well and I got incredibly depressed.

I like Blaziken because it hits the magic 130, but with all the EXs around it's mattering less and less...Maybe I should try and rebuild my infamous V-Donk deck.

I haven't actually been to Montclair; someone just invited me there once but it was too far away for me - that and I didn't have my license then. I do now, but it's still quite a ways for me since I live in South Orange County.

And yeah, every other card was pulled - even 1 of each of the shinies! - but a FA Rayquaza and a FA Mew were not seen all day.

Reshiboar's great when it works, but the problem is keeping the consistency. That's my main problem right now, sadly. Blaziken can hit 130, but EXs are more prevalent now than the 130 HP Basics. Entei two-hits, which is nice, and can charge up the bench. Hmm...wonder if I'm doing something wrong...

As far as Dragons Exalted prerelease went for me, I got 1 of every card from the set that could be considered a "staple", such as all the trainers, Blend Energy, and an Emolga. As for rares, I got an RH Ninetales, 2 Aggron (one of each), and a Golurk. And that was it, no EXs. I was saddened; I wanted a Registeel EX, but half of everyone else pulled one so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. I thought I might have gotten a full Mew or Rayquaza, since no one else out of ~60 people pulled one.

I've been testing a Blaziken-Entei build, constantly tweaking it to see what works. So far it hasn't gone very good, but I just built it so that probably has something to do with it. It's slowly improving; I just need to see where I can tweak it. BW-on is going to take some getting used to.

And then finals week starts for me tomorrow! Oh joy...

I actually just found a guy with a Scrafty! Conveniently enough he goes to my League, and he'll swap it for a fully EV trained Latios.
I have a Latios in HG (event) just waiting for me, so as soon as I catch that and get one with good IVs/nature, I'll be good to go!
I just hope his Scrafty has good IVs.

...You don't know many people who play TCG in your league?
...Wouldn't that be the whole point of a league? Or is your league primarily VG?
