I think like you do, Thunder. I's about time that some of the old unplayable pokes got a higher evolution. I never saw the point of having pokes that you would never put on a team anyway. Who'd ever play Likitung? (I like Schlurp, too) Finally, Magmar might get some notice. And maybe Weavile...

A higher Rhydon might be worth it. I won't use ground/rock types usually because they are too weak to both grass and water. But an evolution of Rhydon might have a useful sp def or be so powerful that it's worth the risk. Magneton evo? Cool!! Most of all, I appreciate having dark/poisons...

By my way of thinking, it would be way cool if every lame basic (Yanma, Corsola, Dunsparce, Volbeat, ...) got powerful evolutions. It would mean that there would be a greater choice of pokemon for teams, and therefore a greater diversity of teams. The wimpy pokes are not a lot of fun to play...

Could it be that we'll finally get the lightning/bug type that Volbeat SHOULD have been?

I'm hoping that it evolves FROM Volbeat, not To Volbeat. We could use a solid pure-bug performer that learns one of the strong bug moves. Volbeat just doesn't have the stats for it, but its next stage could be a very good thing.

I was thinking of GBA or anime. One fave of mine is Graveler with Earthquake and Zapdos. Zapdos can't get hurt by Earthquake and takes out the grass and water threats to Graveler. Or a ghost with Graveler, so that it can last through an Explosion. Any other good combos?

What pair of pokemon would be the best to use in a 2-on-2 battle?

The Ditto evo wouldn't be broken if it just copied species and moves, but kept the same mediocre Ditto stats. But it would be useful.

Wouldn't it be nice if something was done to make Ditto less useless in battle? Maybe an evo of Ditto that copies all stats and moves of an opponent. Or a Transform move that is permanent, like Sketch is permanent. That way, a Ditto could have four different pokemon that it could transform...

RE: What is your favorite top 20  pokemon I think of a higher evolution of Fearow as a large vulture, like a California Condor. Black and white and with wide wings for soaring.

RE: What is your favorite top 20  pokemon Thunderbird- I like seeing that you included Fearow. IMHO, Fearow and Dodrio don't get the respect that they deserve as battling pokemon. Dodrio can destroy an Alakazam at the same level. Both could use a higher evolution, though.

RE: What is your favorite top 20  pokemon Hey- grass monsters have their weakness, but so do the other types. Charizard wouldn't last long against a Starmie. And not all preferences are for battling. I just like Jiggypuff for some bizarre reason. And I had a fast Breloom with Spore and Focus...

Gyarados and Steelix would be pretty cool. Each can hit the other with effective attacks. And the visuals for battling serpents would make for some great images. Not my favorite monsters, though.

Mr. Mime is just an embarrassment. And Smoochum too. They and that creepy Aipom should be locked away.
