I also discovered that the entire Chrono Trigger soundtrack was on iTunes a couple of days ago, but it was too late because I only had 1$ left from my iTunes card :(

So I only got one song from it, and I've been listening to it when working on on stuff:

"People = S***" by Slipknot.

Good song, and I always listen to it when I'm angry about anything.

Plus, it pretty much sums up my view on humanity ATM.

It's far too explicit for this site, though.

Dude. Hands down best track in Chrono Trigger. I used to just leave my DS on 600 AD and listen to this. I'd say Yasunori Mitsuda is one of the only composers that rivals Nabuo Uematsu.

I've been listening to a bit of White Stripes recently. Particularly Icky Thump and Elephant.

I generally think that Macklemore is corny. I do think that the thrift song bumps so maybe i should pay more attention to him lol?

I just want to remind you all that this is no longer a 'free post' thread. Any and all posts need to contain more thought and investment. Try to add comments, opinions, brief analyses, reasons (i.e. "I'm listening to T-Swift's "Love Story" because it's so relevent to me right now and I just keep trying to figure out my place in this world and I just wonder every day if im too insecure or if I will grow up to live alone with 27 cats and I keep trying to convince daddy that we just love each other and there is nothing he can do about it.") etc. except we don't want to see run on sentences like that one. ha!

There is a song called Thrift Store. I don't listen to rap much, but I like this song and don't know why. The beat is catchy, and the chorus gets stuck in my head, so that is probably why.

Uh I suppose I like this song because Excision is a great artist, and anything remixed by Xilent (especially if it's UKF material) automatically gets on my music playlist on YouTube.

Stop The Dams by Gorillaz has been the only thing I have been listening to for the past 3 days and it has become the soundtrack to the film I'm shooting.
D-Sides isn't the best Gorillaz album but Stop The Dams is one of the best songs. The acoustic guitar is fantastic.

Oh, with the exception of In the year 2525 because it is great music to draw inspiration from.
 
What music are you listening to lately, and WHY?

Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye, Sex On Fire by Kings of Leon, and Viva La Vida by Coldplay. (Played this song while I was on my grandma's house's roof with my cousins on a chilly, windy night in California. It was epic.)

That's my little triangle of songs atm.

edit: lol, trifecta. I meant triangle.

I've been listening to a lot of old school 80's music thanks to Saints Row 2 and the Third's radio stations.

Lots of Tears for Fears... good stuff.

And if you're into this kind of music... Paperman by Christophe Beck is really worth listening to. Very serene and feel-good music. It's from that little film short before Wreck-it Ralph which has some good music. :b

The original Gorillaz album, for nostalgia reasons! Gorillaz used to be my entire life when I was in school and recently I got a car stereo with an aux input so I can now play any music I want XD and that is one of the things I decided to start listening to again :>
