Meganium Lv.48
[G] Ultra Binder 20

If only 1 of them got heads, the defending pokemon is now poisoned.
If 2 of them got heads, the defending pokemon is now burned.
If all of them got heads, the defending poekmon is now paralyzed.

[GGC] KAJIBA tackle 60+
If you opponent have any fire pokemon in play, this attack does 30 more damage.

Retreat: CC
Weakness: R+30
Resistance: W-20

Retreat:CC
Weakness:W+30

--

Feraligatr Lv.53 HP130
[WW] Energy Cyclone 20x

[WCC] Hyper Tail 60
Choose a card without looking from you opponent's hand, discard it.

Weakness L+30

--

Trainers:

Fossil Extracter (? specialist in that field) Supporter

--

Team Galaxy's Gamble - Supporter
You and your opponent shuffle all your/his/her hand back to the deck.
Then you play the Rock-Paper-Scissor game with your opponent,
the winner draw 6 cards, the loser draw 3 cards.

--

MIZUKI's searching - Supporter
Choose a card from your hand and put it into your deck,
then search for your deck a pokemon card, show it to your opponent and put it into your hand.
Shuffle your deck afterwards.

--

Lake Muscai - Stadium
All pokemon's weakness now become x2 instead of its own.

Fast Ball - Reprinted!!

Dark Ball
Look at your bottom 7 cards of your deck, choose 1 of the pokemon card htere, show it to your opponent and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterwards.

[21:21] Jon: I think you messed up Meganium and Typhlosion :p

[21:24] Vincent: Gyarados Lv49
body: Dragon DNA
This pokemon can use its pre-evo pokemon's attack (but you need to satisfy the attack cost and requirement as well). If you do, damage done to opponents active poekmon is +30
[WWCC] ABANECHIRASU 80
Flip coin until you get tails, discard number of cards from your opponent's hand equal to the number of heads. If you got flipped a tail at your first trial, gyarados is now confused.
Weakness L+30
Resistance F-20
Retreat CCC

[21:30] Vincent: KABURIASU (the new ground-dragon pokemon) 130HP
body: Rainbow Scale
If there are any energy attached to KABURIASU got the same type as your opponent's active pokemon's weakness, damage done to that pokemon is +40. This body stops working if there are any special eneergy attached to KABURIASU.
[CCC] Dragon Teeth 70

[21:38] Vincent: wooooooooops, that "fast ball" is not the reprinted version,
the new name should be "Quick Ball",
the effect of this card is nearly the same as fast ball but the only difference is you can any kind of pokemon out instead of just evo Pokémon.

I am waiting for this set to come out so we can maybe have some sort of word about this Kadabra thing. The Rare Candy trick works, but it's not like they can keep putting this off forever, and it's just beyond odd to have a set without a middle evolution. Is Rare Candy even in this set?

Well if they're legally not allowed to make Kadabra's anymore at least they're trying to please the fans by making an abra and alakazam, it seems like abras attack evolves him anyway.
About the actual set... woah look at some of those stage 2s
*cough another over-powered Tyranitar cough* they're as good as some ex's and they're not even Lv.X... will people even want to play ex series cards when these are out? 0_o

At first, I was against the whole dropping of EX pokemon. (It's not been confirmed, but I doubt they will return.) However after looking at some of those Stage 2 pokemon it looks like rather than having 1 or 2 superpowered pokemon EX, they are balancing the playing ground and making almost everybody equaly strong. I think the card game is going to become a lot more fun than it already is!

wow, my favourite legendary trio makes a spectacular debut, I love this set, celebi, chimecho, great stadiums, seriously strong and useful cards. Maye I'll buy myself a Japanese box :)

I'm rather surprised with the fact that they're splitting up Mew, celebi and jirachi, but it's fine with me, so far there's been a card for my collection in every new set, so I can't complain, can I?
Somehow I dislike the fact that they made the poison psychic, although it's a bit more logical, this'll give psychic 3 GBA-types, which is a lot, but, I always seem to end up making myself a deck with a psychic type as main Pokémon, so I can't complain, can I?

The art in this set is astonishing, kouki surpassed himself with that magnificent Alakazam, chimecho looks to cute for words, and Dotakun looks divine, although I dislike the Pokémon and never heard of the artist before, I must say that it's one of the best arts in the set...

While I can't be sure based on the scans provided, it looks like Alakazam says it eveolves from Kadabra in the upper left of the Stage 2 card. If Kadabra was a legal matter, I would think any reference to Kadabra on Alakazam would also violate that. Therefore, I expect that there will be a Kadabra in this set.

Happy B-day (although it's not today, is it?), GODZILLA:

Tyranitar L.57 – Darkness – HP140
Stage 2 – Evolves from Pupitar

[D][C] Retaliate: 40 damage. If your opponent has 1 Prize card remaining, this attack does an additional 40 damage, and discard 3 cards from the top of your opponent’s deck.
[F][F][D][D] Ground Burn: 80 damage. Discard 1 card from the top of each player’s deck. This attack does an additional 20 damage for each Energy card discarded in this way.

Weakness: Fighting (+30)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 4

This Pokémon is indeed powerful, I really like it's 1st attack :)

Wow, C-M, you were close, July 27. Lol. That T-tar is sick.

Mantine d + that monster = wow

Not to mention you can slap a Cessation Crystal or something onto it to make it godly. 140 HP and +30 from Fighting means that guy will be staying around for a while;) I'm talking about nxt years format though.

By the way, it's only level 57;)

I just realized that thing thing with energy root and mantine is like an ex o_O

Anyhow, levels, the legendary trio is lv50 and has only 60HP, T-tar is lv57 and has 140HP, makes me feel like they screwed up this level stuff, but, well, you catch the trio at lv50, so I guess that's the reason for their high level but low attack/HP

Wow, blissey's a stage1 with 130HP, nice, finally he gets the HP he deserves (more then his prevo in base set), get some serious damage on it and kill everything in sight with misdreavus evo :)

I like the Gablias Poke-Body because it will make it able to do 110 to any pokemon for three energy's (that doesn't have a colorless weakness) if it's set up properly and resistance isn't applied that makes it good in any deck.

That Tyranitar is pretty scary. But the card looks amazing.

This set is - to quote GODZILLA - HAWT. Way better than D/P 1.

The art is mostly VERY good. But... Ninetales? C'mon. Gimme a break. That looks like crap made by some awkward tween who just discovered deviantart and felt the need to create crappy computer-programmed art. However, other art is very nice, like Slakoth, Aron, Slaking, Tyranitar, Whiscash, Mantine... etc.... Oh, and Tropius is REALLY creepy.

As for the Kadabra thing... I don't think there is a conspiracy against him. He's just really ugly. :p Ha ha. No, they're just doing lazy semi-evo lines... Notice there's no evolution for Graveler, that stupid Christmas tree, no prevo for Lucario X (I KNOW it's Lv. X, so I guess that's not a real point....), no Exeggcute to evolve into Exeggutor.... They did the same thing with EX Sandstorm and Dragon. In SS, you had Trapinch but no Vibrava or Flygon, and in EX Dragon, you had Meditite, but no Medicham, and Snorunt, but no Glalie. Hack, this wouldn't even be an issue is there was just a Kadabra in the stupid EX sets. Naw, Kadabra's absence isn't real news. Weird, but not stunning.

This set is absolutely incredible. The attacks of pokemon are so much more creative than the ex series. one thing that really annoyed me about the ex series is that the attacks were so straightfoward, countless cards did exactly the same thin (most stage 1 evos had an attack for three energy that would do 50 damage). can't wait for dp cards to come to the states. :]

Abra L.8 ? Psychic ? HP50
Basic Pokemon

[P] Play Search: Look at the top 5 cards of your deck, choose 1 of them, and put it in your hand. Shuffle the remaining cards back into your deck.
[P][C] Psychic Evolution: Search your deck for an Alakazam card and play it on top of Abra (this counts as Evolving Abra). Shuffle your deck afterward.

Weakness: Psychic (+10)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Alakazam L.47 ? Psychic ? HP100
Stage 2 ? Evolves from Kadabra

Poke-Power: Power Canceller
You can use this power once during your opponent?s turn, when 1 of your opponent?s Pokemon uses a Poke-Power. Discard 2 cards from your hand, and that power does nothing (it still counts as being used). This power can?t be used if Alakazam is affected by a Special Condition.

[P][P][C] Psychic Guard: 50 damage. During your opponent?s next turn, any damage done to Alakazam by your opponent?s Stage 2 Evolved Pokemon is reduced by 30.

Weakness: Psychic (+30)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

T3 50 damage, a shielding effect and the possibility to negate Poke-Powers? I've seen worse...but I still find Alakazam deserves more.

And oh, this is insane, specially due to steel typing:

Trideps L.51 ? Steel ? HP130
Stage 2 ? Evolves from Shieldon

Poke-Body: Bulwark
Prevent all damage done to your Benched Pokemon by attacks from your opponent?s Pokemon.

[M][M][C] Enraged Revenge: 60 damage. If Trideps was damaged by an attack on your opponent?s last turn, this attack also does 40 damage to 1 of your opponent?s Benched Pokemon.

Weakness: Fire (+40)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 3
