(3) 3D Pro and Dream Radar Prices, Pokemon Seizure Gun, Gamefreak Interview [10/1]

I admit it.

I clicked on this topic because I saw the words "seizure gun".

Well, it seems the incident also inspired the army to come up with an idea for a weapon that could "blast [enemies] with electromagnetic energy until their brains overload and they start to convulse." This according to a new Wired article that explains how the weapon would affect 100% of the population. It's a rather interesting read, if not absolutely terrifying. Luckily such a weapon is only theoretical!

So technicly the Seizure Gun isn't going to be invented, right?

I'm happy about the price of the Dream Radar! :D
 
Okaaay...They don´t really have to make a replica of an incident that happened a long time ago.

...Leaving that aside, I´m quite happy for the price of Dream Radar. The bad thing is that my brother will cancel his credit card and I don´t really feel like asking my dad. :_ Pokedex 3D Pro´s price is kind of ridiculous though. I wonder though...If it doesn´t cost that much in here I will probably get it.
 
The interview was really nice! Black 2 and White 2's development began 3 or 4 months before Black and White were released in Japan.

Am i the only one who initially assumed it was a novelty toy with a Pokémon-design you could actually purchase?

This concept, however, makes a great (hard) science-fiction weapon.

I put that in there on purpose since I know that's not a fact known to many people. I've read a lot of scholarly articles about Pokemon at my universities, many translated from Japan, and that's how I learned that. :p

Scholarly articles about Pokémon? Would you mind sharing if they are digitally available?

Also, there is a flaw in the developer interview. The protagonist does speak in the games of Generation I/II/III/IV. Albeit only in dialogue with the mimic girl.

I think you were. When I saw those words, I instantly thought of Electric Soldier Porygon.
 
I found the interview to be rather nice, and I also am glad that dream radar is cheap.

Most of them are from my undergrad university, so I don't have access to them since I'm not an official student there anymore.
 
$15 vs. the equivalent of $18 makes the price much more appealing, oddly. I'll be staying away, but like others, I'm glad Dream Radar is cheap.

And thanks for the interview link. Just what I needed to get really hyped for Sunday.

Japan had it going for the equivalent of $18USD, so you can't complain.

I saw Pokemon Seizure Gun and I'm like, wtf. Uh, I don't even *reads article*. Oh. Wth
