150 damage with a good typing for hittin weakness, but just too expensve, a stage 2, and drapion is in format.

This could be pretty fire if we ever get something like Weavile-GX or darkness ablaze Hydreigon, this attack has seen play on Trevenant Dusknoir Tag Team so I could see it being used. Still missing a bit of power

Powering up Dark isn't that hard with Galarian Moltres V (with energy switch) and Dark Patch; this plus Roxanne/Iono could win the game. Follow it up after that with locking something that can't attack in the active, and that's pretty brutal.

The problem comes from if they have literally any draw option, either on their board on as their top deck. Something like a Bibarel or even a Kirlia makes this kinda eh.

There have been metas where an effect like this with path to the peak would've been really good. The upcoming meta will probably see a lot of Bibarel and Kirlia, so yeah, it's probably not good enough.

Good disruption, anti single-prize decks, really good after a late game Iono. Snek boi might be useable?

It's actually not terrible. 270 is a good HP to have, it's not really going to die in a single attack. Discard 2 is a nice disruption bonus - it's not a full lock, but presents the opponent with dilemmas they'd rather not have. Hitting Gardevoir ex for weakness is a very good bonus, since for now it looks like the best post-rotation deck.

People seem to have forgotten about Giovanni & Dark patch. Arbok could definitely make for a fun hand disruption deck! ??

Guessing everyone is forgetting how crippling a 0 card hand can be towards the end of the game when you just need 1 or 2 cards to win... Iono or roxanne followed by Menacing fangs would suck to be on the receiving end of, unless you have bench draw. Even then I would play this with Umbreon VMAX so I could pull up the bench draw and knock it out with menacing fangs having just Iono'd them to 2...

Que the "its not good" ha, until someone tops with it and everyone goes crazy over it. Just because a card doesn't seem like it has a place in the current meta doesn't mean it won't in the future....

while i do like the idea of menacing fangs's secondary effect, i think in this current meta a lot of top decks dont get hurt that hard at all from discarding. in the case of something like lugia vstar, sometimes you WANT to discard cards from your hand

i could still see this card seeing play in some anti-meta deck at some point in the future, because the secondary effect can be really good depending on the meta

Just use Moltres V, bro. Moltres hits harder than this thing, and no need to gush around the evolution thing
