Ruling Zoroark's Foul Play w/ Rinbow Energy

Okay, my question is if I use Zoroark's Foul Play on a Reshiram's Blue Flare, and I have a Rescue and a Rainbow Energy on it, what do I have to discard the Rainbow Energy even if I want it to count as a different type of energy card?

You don't have a choice to "change Rainbow Energy's type".
Rainbow Energy is simultaneously every type at once.

You must discard the Rainbow Energy since it is treated as {C}{R}{G}{W}{L}{P}{F}{D}{M}. That includes {R}, which Blue Flare discards.
