Tricks of old, Trumps of new

To you, Pokémon is amazing. World class. But sadly, you are poor. A measly peasant who cannot afford those PokéGizmos to start your own journey. Thankfully, the Fief Master has invented a Pokémon Trading Card Game for poor peasants. You have ventured far and wide to Bbninja's Bar to test your skills in this exciting, new game.

This is Trick & Trump, in case you haven't figured it out yet. Basically, you are trying to earn the most Beach Points (BP) at the end of the tournament by trading, building decks, battling (on simulator TCG ONE) and collecting Pokémon TCG cards, this time from the XY Base Set expansion. Basic Energy cannot pulled in this game.

Signing Up

To sign up, post in this thread that you want to play, and a Pokémon that will represent you throughout the game. This representing Pokémon may or may not affect the game. Who knows - you are just a peasant.

Stages and Gameplay

Trick & Trump has two main stages, the Day and the Night. During the Night, players may construct decks, open packs, trade cards and buy cards. Decks can be constructed in both stages. Events will also occur during this stage. During the Day, players will duel each other to earn points and possibly steal cards. Also, players will post during this stage if they want to participate in the upcoming Night Event.
Day:
• Day phases generally last five days, or until all actions have been completed.
• You may challenge other peasants to a Pokémon TCG duel.
• Duels must abide by all rules according to the day update.
• Challenging should occur as follows (remember to bold): Let's duel, <name>!
• You may choose to accept the duel, or to rebuke it. Rebuking will cause a loss of 5 BPs (-5BP)
• You may post ##ENTER EVENT. This is the only way you can participate in the upcoming Night event.

Night:
• Night phases last three days, or until three quarters (3/4) of signed up players post ##ENDNIGHT.
• The market will be updated and the night's event/s will be revealed.
• You may PM me to:
-Open any booster packs
-Buy cards or other items from the market with BP.
-Sell cards or other items to the market to get BP.
• Trade cards in public (in-thread) or private (private message). Cards can be traded for other cards or BPs, and the quantities aren't required to be balanced. BOTH players MUST PM me for the trade to go through.

Early Game

Pre-Game
• Players will receive +20BP, an infinite amount of Basic Energy and +10 Packs

Early Game
• The game will start in the Night stage, no events will occur during the first night.
• The owned cards or items of every player will appear under spoilers in the main page.

The Game Ending
• After EIGHT (8) in-game days
• BP Points will be tallied and the Winner decided using a very secret formula

Dueling

• Matches will occur by dueling on TCG ONE using a constructed deck uploaded onto the simulator, made only of cards owned in-thread.
• Once a duel has been completed, at least one player must send me a screenshot (or a video if you have a screen recording) of the end game, as well as both player's discard pile. The duel will not be counted if a screenshot or video has not been received.
• If you are the winner, send me a screenshot/s of the cards in the not-so-winner's discard pile that you would like to steal.
• You must complete duels before the deadline... or I may do something particularly nasty.
• It is your responsibility that your opponent only uses the cards they own, and only cards from the XY Base expansion, unless otherwise given. Any player to break these rules will be the subject of a warning and match forfeit, then an elimination from the game.

Winner:
• Will be able to choose a Pokémon card in your opponent's discard pile to keep, unless your opponent has only 60 cards left.
• Will be able to choose a Trainer card (including Special Energy) in your opponent's discard pile to keep, unless your opponent has only 60 cards left.
• Will be sent the confirmation of stolen cards; once received, the cards can be used.
• Receives +5BP.

The Not-So-Winner:
• Will lose a Pokémon card in your discard pile, depending on your opponent's choice, unless you only have 60 cards left.
• Will lose a Trainer card (including Special Energy) in your discard pile, depending on your opponent's choice, unless you only have 60 cards left.
• Will be sent the confirmation of stolen cards; once received, the cards will be lost.
• Receives +1BP.

Hmm. Might I recommend you make sign ups a little shorter? 16 days is a long time; people may forget about the game or lose interest after that much time. A week would work just fine for a game like this.

How did I not notice that? Well, that's too long in my opinion.

So, basically, I'm getting 2 cards from my opponent as long as he has a Pokémon and a Trainer left in his deck/pool of cards? Seems good enough. xD
