Your best option is to go with either the HeartGold SoulSilver base set or HS Triumphant. Both sets have good Trainers and Supporters and they also have some pretty good primes. As long as one of those boxes you get has half decent packs in it, there's a good chance that you will get your money's worth in cards. I hope this helps.:)

hgss and bw have alot of overlapping trainers.
best choice would be triumphant and BW.
then wait for BW2 for the cut trainer supporters.

Great encounters is a older set.. unless your a collector why would you buy it?
Save for the enw stuff ro HGSS or TM

FA's its one of each

holo's it depends box to box. mine i got 2 reshi holo's and 1 zekrom but in total i think its about 1 holo's per box...well the holo card but it can be RH as well

I know what I want to buy. Anyone know where I can get the CHEAPEST base set booster packs
need like five of these maybe ten of them as I really want to complete this set and only need like 3 holos

I think I need Charizard, Poliwrath and Magneton (I swear i had a magneton but couldn't find :() I think buying single cards takes the fun out of collecting so I want to buy boosters. I have found some prices ranging from $5.99 - $8.99 online but want something cheaper if I can get.

Diamond and Pearl, Power Keepers or Arceus?

I want to mention that I'm a collector, and I don't have any card of those sets. I don't care about the price.
So, what should I buy?

I would say get a Arceus booster box. The Arceus set looks really cool to me and after I get some Call of Legends I may start to buy Arceus. I'm a bit biased though as I don't really like Ex era cards that much.

I would personally buy Power Keepers because of the value of some exs and stars

I want to buy 3-4 boosters I want some playable stuff. Not sure whether to go for triumphant or HGSS.

Which booster box should I buy: Great Encounters, Arceus, Power Keeperrs or Rising Rivals?
And this is for a collection, not for the gaming.

Ok, thanks for the info. I actuall just saw a booster box on ebay for 60 plus 6 bucks to ship! It was a box form Black and White collection!

I know what you are talking about, but it was the japanese Black and White set.

For play or collecting? korean booster boxes go for only $25 on ebay. They come with 30 packs instead of 36, 1 holo in every 4 packs, and only One ultra rare per box (from what I saw in mine). Made in USA, so look identical except for language (though only 5 cards per pack like the japanese).

You can get 2 boxes for $50 this way
