Healix was a dominant deck in the old format, and now that we're hearing that the rotation is HGSS-on, all of Stealix's main problems (Being out-speed, and BFBX) are gone. Healix is seeing new possible techs, without losing any of the old ones (excluding Blissey PL, of course).

Kinklang is an option, allowing you to move Metal NRG as often as you like during a turn, making it so you can utilize more than one Steelix per game. IMO, Celebratory Wind is a much better route for this format, because it's faster, and because of the los$ of Power Spray and Mesprit.

Reuniclus is a beautiful god that spits monster trucks. Allowing you to move damage counters, negating the potential Solrock/Lunatone lock, and spitting GOT DANGED MONSTER TRUCKS.

Problems?

Rise in Reshiboar

Magnezone (but not really, because people who play Magnezone are liars. They're lying about playing Magnezone.)

If either of those happen, flip a table.

Thanksbro,

LORDY AND FLUTTERSHY AND VYPIX

P.s. Pluspower is a bro in this deck, I swear/

P.p.s. 1k pageviews! Three cheers!

PPL said to add Blackbelt.

Well, the card artwork is... creative. I personally think that there's not much to say on this topic, you've pretty much summed it up yourself. I would ditch PlusPower for Black Belt, though. Black Belt is conditional and can be played greatly if played right.

I mentioned Blackbelt in the article, thanks to yoooooooooooou.

Let's hope this gets less deleted than usual.

Thanks for the mention, I guess. I do feel a locking coming on, though.
At the moment, Conductive Quarry is a must-have with Steelix, but after rotation, this will be more challenging to be successful.
Although, I think that Ampharos HS can help a lot with this deck if I remember correctly.

Ampharos HS is just good in everything. End of story.

EDIT: Phew, couldn't phind this for a couple seconds, thought it got deleted. But all is well.

Like you said, Reshiram > This. I'm also 100% sure he will be popular, just look at the Deck Garage. Unfortunately I can't think of any good techs that will work in this deck against Reshiram, other than Zoroark + PlusPower (which isn't a horrible idea).

btw

<3 this topic, artwork is radical

I don't think Reshiram is a better deck, but it does have a good match up against this'n.

Thanksdawg.

One word. Magnezone. Magnezone will be pretty big and will murder any tank in the format including Steelix with 3-4 lostzoned energys...

Agreed. This can't work with Reshiram and Magnezone in the format, because Steelixs recovery isn't good.

Yeah, but Magnezone is a butt.

THe point of Steelix isn't recovery, if they somehow manage to kill a Steelix, you slap down a Celebratory Wind and use another one.

Exactly.

You should be smart enough to tell if your Steelix is going to die. At least if you're going to be playing it.

That's almost never going to happen. That's kind of the point of the deck. Walls don't often get OHKO'd, if anything can OHKO a Steelix, it pretty much autolosses.

OK well nats meta has both at Teir 1 so probably ~3 matches playing either depending on division which is likely to not make top cut.

Since when is Magnezone tier 1?

Whatever, if you find a Reshiboar, flip the table, if you find a Magnezone, ask to read their cards then catch them on fire real sneaky like.

Magnezone w/ Boar has been T1 for a while... This: http://www.pokebeach.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=95881 isn't a good reference for the meta AT ALL

This thread is so excellent.
ReshiBoar isn't a good deck, but I guess you do have to watch out for it if people will play it.
