I was kinda thinking of teching in the new Victini to counter it.

but yo, throw in a reshiram or two and comm/collect it out if you notice you're up against healix (you can pretty much figure out what deck someone is running by T1 or T2 latest...you seem well-informed of this game) and outrage your way outta there for reals.
 
I may just do that. Get rid o' some stuff for 2 Reshiram and 2 DCE. Iunno if I like that or Victini better, both can do a bit of damage to a good number of things, but Reshiram takes damage (which is not a thing I can have solid control over), and Victini takes two heads. I might use Victini just cuz it's cool, more original, but I'll test with both.
 
yeah originality is good...surprises the opponent and puts them off guard. you don't even really need two DCE's for resh but if you want 'em, then take 'em

Yeah, I never thought of this but in some cases using original techs will leave your opponent not knowing what you plan on doing with them, which could make you catch them off guard.
 
it only works until you get into top cuts though. a buddy of mine in a smaller battle roads had a 1-0-1 samurott in his steelix deck and somehow barely managed to make top cuts. his first opponent had a reshiboar deck. the first game he won by surprising him with pulling out samurott. but then he knew about it and planned accordingly for games 2 and 3...my friend lost badly on those two games haha
