Shockwave crashes on Chrome

A quick question for Chrome users: I recently got Chrome for my laptop, (though I prefer Windows) because I've been having some trouble. Every once in awhile, Shockwave crashes on Chrome, but it never done this before on Windows 7. Does anyone else get this, and is there some kind of update to fix this?

I get the Shockwave crash only on my laptop. On my PC it's never happened. I dunno exactly how it functions, maybe it has to do with your Internet connection (I use a different one with the laptop).

I believe it is linked to how long it is being used by a browser. I have had it crash in both Chrome and IE.

This happens to me, all. The. Flipping. Time.

My "fix" is generally: Find the root of the problem (typically Youtube), "X" out the window, then click through my other tabs one at a time, waiting for a few seconds on each. They will usually fix themselves after a few seconds. If you're having the issue with only one tab, I suggest closing it out then opening a new window -- Wait a bit on each and every new page you bring up, as it seems to happen more commonly (for me anyways) if you're flipping through pages quickly. Almost as if it's trying to catch up, but can't.

I've rarely had Flash crash on me all by itself (in Chrome), but certainly, it's caused many a hang, forcing me to kill the process. It does crash on one of my computers fairly frequently, but it's from 2004 with a single-core processor and 2 GB of memory, so... Yeah, could be a number of things. :/
