Project Pokemon Shuffle - The Pokedex 2.0 Region Thread!

Added several of the new Pokemon to routes and cities. See if you can find them! Note I didn't all all, and almost all are 1% rates.

We'd definitely love to have some extra help!

The rival shows up in a lot of random places, but there is a post about him hiding out right here:

We recognize that the random maze of posts has made it nearly impossible to figure out what's going on, which is why we've embarked on the ShufflePedia project to help sort it out. Unfortunately, it's pretty slow going, but you can still glean some information there:

To answer the question of where you can help, though, we've got a second thread where tons of stuff is still up in the air and we could really use some help. It's perfect for a new user looking to make their mark on the world:

Just as a curiosity, and possibly to help things out for ShufflePedia purposes, Reggie and Steffenka, do you mind posting the name origins for the locations you worked on?

Splitport Town: Split + port. Refers to the strait that runs through the port, splitting it in two.
Dreamix City: Dream + remix. Named for the music culture that pervades the city, and its touristy, dream-like appearance.
Frescourse City: Fresco + discourse. Fresco, for the classical art of the city, and discourse, describing the dialogue between its day and night halves.
Imago Circus: Imago is both a word used to describe a butterfly, for its mascot, Camoullon, but also an illusion.
Envoyage City: Envoy + voyage. Envoy describes its role as a political center, voyage its role as a port.
Arioso Glassworks: Arioso means "airy," reflecting the use of air to make glass, but in music it is always sung alone, referring to the Glassworks' isolated location. The location also has musical themes, such as its relationship to Bellind/Belltect.
Symmachine City: Symmetry + machine. It has two similar halves, both being technological with many machines.
Tulove Town: Tulip + love. Sounds and looks very similar to true love.
Doubridge Town: Double + bridge. Another divided town, built around a central bridge.
Granyx Peak: Granite + onyx. Named for two volcanic materials known for their hardness, reflecting the difficulty of the dungeon and the difficulty of life for those who live there.
Ultimoak City: Ultimate + oak. Ultimate, for the final city of the main plot, and oak for the material it is made from.
Eventoil City: Eventual + toil. Like Ultimoak City, is also named for its place at the end of a Pokémon League challenge. Its use of "toil" refers to its connection to Fighting-type legends.

Grenergy City: Green + Energy

Zalem City: Z + Mayhem - (A lot of dark related Pokemon's names start with Z (Zubat, Zwelious, Zygarde, Zekrom, Zoura, Zoroark))

Phurst Town: Primary + First

Frober Town: Frozen + Burr (It's located in the north)

I like this city's name! I first interpreted it as a corruption of Salem (the city in Massachusetts) and even though you said its namesake involves mayhem, Salem was a town involved in witch trials, black magic, and hangings, so I think that's dark-related, too, and it benefits your reasoning! I just thought this coincidence could help the darkness you're trying to capture. Great ideas! :p

Tundrore City: Tundra + Ore

Can't remember Stearing Towns origin :/
Maybe it's steam + searing, for the hot springs? That's my best guess...

Thanks for the responses, though! The only locations left that I'd like canon explanations for, just in case I'm reading them wrong, are Suxen Cave and Treis Castle.

That's exactly what I thought, too, I was surprised to find out about another layer of symbolism with the mayhem origin. I think my favourite names are the ones that you can read more than one way and still have them make sense in the end.

I know this thread is beyond dead but I found some awesome music for some Pokemon in the game:
