This week's winning Community Decklist was Darkrai/Hydreigon, a deck that revolves around Hydreigon DRX's Ability: Dark Trance. By using this Ability, Hydregon moves around Dark Energy (and Blend GRPD) to EX Pokemon and various techs while restoring their HP with Max Potion. Beware of Hydreigon's Dragon Weakness though, because Pokemon like Shiny Rayquaza and Garchomp can deal hefty blows to it using Pokemon Catcher. Like the previous Klinklang EX deck from last format, this deck is fast, consistent, and powerful as Darkrai/Hydreigon is gaining quite a lot of hype with Battle Roads that just recently began.

All rules for the PokéBeach Community Decklist can be found here. Any posts that are caught breaking any of these rules (specifically ones that add more cards to the deck than allowed and especially ones with no explanation) are subject to deletion and warning, so be sure to follow those rules outlined. You may begin!

dmaster out.

+3 Darkai EX
Powerful reliable attacker, and can hand out free retreat to your pokemon.

+3 Professor Juniper: Best straight draw supporter in the current format. Pretty sure every deck should have at least 3 to get the consistent draw it needs. The discard effect hurts this deck even less than most because typically it plays Sableye to retrieve any lost trainers, as well as Dark Patch to attach any Dark Energy discarded.

+3 Rare Candy... How else are you going to get Hydreigon out with just one Zwelious?

+3 Dark Patch

Energy acceleration. With this, you can power up things a turn or two faster then you would be able to otherwise. Combined with Sableye, Dark Patch can flood energy onto the field extremely quickly. And once Hydreigon has energy on the field, it's difficult to stop.

+4 Blend Energy {G}{R}{D}{P} works with hydreigon's ability and gives you options for techs

Only three will able to be added from this post.

dmaster out.

+3 Sableye DEX

Retrieves any Items you may have used or Junipered from the discard, and lets you spam max potion and dark patches to their fullest extent.

+3 max potions

use to fully utilize dark trance and keep your pokemon on the field.

+3 Basic Dark Energy: 100% necessary for attacking with your Darkrais, as well as give free retreat to any and all Pokemon in the deck

+ 1 Shaymin EX; it vastly improves the Terrakion match-up by hitting their Terrakion for weakness and 1HKOing them late game.

+ 2 N. Staple and currently (IMO) the best Draw Supporter in the format.

Lets finish up some other items:

+1 Pokemon Catcher

One of the best, if not the best trainer card in today's format. With a multitude of uses, from stalling out your opponent to taking extra prizes from low HP support Pokemon to killing pesky bench-sitters like our very own Hydreigon, this card is a necessity in all decks. This deck is no exception, and since we have 4 spots to fill with this amazing card, we're going to use them all.

+1 Blend Energy GRPD

Four different types of energy? Yes please! Not only is this card moveable by Hydreigon, but it gives Hydreigon and other secondary attackers the energy they need. There's almost no reason to not put 4 of these in this deck.

+1 N

A fantastic shuffle supporter, probably the best supporter in the format. It's fantastic early game to get a hand refresh and it's great late game to stop your opponent from having a hand. It works especially well in Hydreigon because this deck can easily play off the field late game, so getting a one or two card hand isn't an issue. I would max this out, but I can only add three cards :p.

+1 Juniper: Extra draw
+2 Ultra Ball: Search plus synergy with discarding energies.

I'd put in a Sigilyph DRX, while not always a popular choice, it can really ruin your opponent if they try to go aggro Mewtwo if you have the proper cards in hand. Also, it improves the Terrakion matchup with an Eviolite as there would be nothing that can OHKO it, and you can use the tank strategy. It is really helpful in general because EXs are so popular. Speaking of Eviolite, let's throw two in there. It helps with the general idea of the deck by tanking, and usually turns OHKO into 2HKOs, 2HKOs into 3HKOs etc. While Tool Scrapper does exist, it is a good card in this deck. Also, Eviolite lets Sigi sweep Terrakion (with or w/out Mewtwo and/or Terrakion EX, and/or Bouffalant, etc.) variants provided no tool scrapper is run in that.

Are we still allowed to take out cards? I didn't see anything about it in the rules.

+ 1 N. Staple and currently (IMO) the best Draw Supporter in the format.

+ 2 Bianca. A great follow -up to a late game N and combos well with Ultra Ball.

+2 Level Ball
It searches out Deinos, Sigilyph, Sableye, and Zweilous. Helps set up and makes it easier to swarm Deino or get a pinch Sableye.

+1 Tool Scrapper
Do you really want a Garbodor autoloss? Tool Scrapper removes pestering tools that could disrupt your opponent and allow you to take KOs which you otherwise couldn't have if they had an Eviolite or Giant Cape.
