MTV needs more music, and less reality shows.

Seriously, I remember when MTV has alot of great music videos, I used to watch it all the time, it was my favorite channel. Now all they show is reality show junk like "When I was 17." or "My life as Liz" What happened to Friday Night MTV? MTV is seriously going downhill, and they need to bring more music channels instead of this "Reality Show" Crap.

I remember back in the earlier 00's, and the 90's, people actually used to know music videos, now they're an afterthought and are online.

Music was on MTV... I read in scrolls about the days of yore, but they were blocked by age and talk of two sages, Bevis and Butthead. It was before my time, apparently.

I doubt what you are saying is real. I require proof.

In regards to the topic statement: I agree one-hundred percent! MTV hasn't really been Music Television for a while. I used actually watch it because it had music videos on constantly, with only a little bit of side stuff like Beavis and Butthead. The stuff they have on nowadays just sickens me...

Yeah, I mean now we have... Pretty Boy Swag -___- which, IMO, is the worst excuse for music. Ever. And the only time I would see music videos are 6-10, and usually I'm watching those while I get ready for school.

Honestly, I vote to nuke MTV period. I have always hated that station. It has no point and just takes up space, and the shows on there are worse. I don't even know anybody that watches them.

Jersey Shore is big where I live. I never cared much until I met someone from Ireland vacationing here in the States, who said he liked it. I asked if he thought all Americans were stupid because of it, and he said yes to some extent, but mostly Italian Americans. I found this highly offensive because that show makes 1) All americans look like idiots, and 2) I'm Italian American. I wish that show would get canceled.

In the 90's, MTV actually was entertaining. But now it's not even a shadow of its former self because of how they've added so many crappy programs and, the rare times they actually play music videos, it's stuff that most people don't care for (at least from what I last saw of it...).

Don't get me started on Jersey Shore... There are some real choice words I'd love to use to describe my feelings for it...but, ironically (or perhaps I should say 'poetically,' not sure... *shrugs*), my sister LOVES it!

I wholeheartedly support any plan that involves nuclear weapons. Esspecialy any that would be effective, since at this point there is no chance for redemption.

I disagree when it comes to the videos they do show are bad, some people may like them, (I personally don't.) They should have pure videos, different segments, like a Pop segment, a Hip Hop/Rap segment, a Rock segment, and a REWIND segment featuring old videos.

MTV has really gone downhill. I don't like all these reality shows. They might as well change the name of the channel as MTV is not playing music videos anymore. The only reality show I liked on there was The Osbournes, and that's just because I'm a huge fan of Ozzy Osbourne.

I'm SO SICK of Jersey Shore. If anything, I'll be watching Wild'n Out (gotta admit, it's actually pretty funny) and Cribs.

I don't really care, the music they would play on there anyways isn't music I would be interested in watching. I like My Life as Liz, but it lasted a whole five minutes. Theres really no shows on there now that I enjoy.

Meh its like Much Music now, they have the top 20 a few other shows involving music and the rest are reality or drama shows. The differences, some of MTVs reality shows are funny when Much Music's sucks dick.

I don't see the problem if the reality shows are based around music stars (Growing up Twisted, Gene Simmons) or the other shows are about music (Video on Trial, lolol)

I rarely watch those channels but they do play music videos most of the time I switch em' on.
