RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I just watched 21 Jump Street. It was very good, I recommend it to both fans of the old show, and to people who haven't even heard of it 'til recently.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I've read the Hunger Games book, and it was pretty darn good. I think I'll drop by and see it someday, or (like always) wait till it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray. But it looks REALLY good. I also see they kept a LOT of the good parts of the books, instead of rewriting the book, like they did for Twilight (okay, not totally) or Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I've heard good early reviews about the movie. I'm currently plodding my way through the series of books as we speak, so I am also getting pumped for it.

dmaster out.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

How are the books ? My teacher mentioned the books in Maths yesterday and reccommend that I read them.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

Ehh... the original book is by far the best. However, I HATED Catching Fire and never read Mocking Jay (I believe that's the name.) But my opinion doesn't matter. It's a relatively good series, so I would recommend you read them, too.

Not bad for a movie based on a book with a mind blowing concept.

What is exactly "mind blowing" about it?

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

It seems that the author is referring to the future, and as strange as the world is becoming, I don't think that humans will revert to being savages who kill each other for fun, Rome had enough.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

It's not an original idea by any stretch of the imagination. The story has basically been told before lol.

The books are pretty good. I'm close to finishing the first one right now, but I heard the last one was the absolute worst so meh. Idk. Still looking forward to seeing the movie eventually because it seems to be holding pretty favorable reviews right now. For a movie based on a book, that's a real surprising thing.
