RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

You might as well add GC, considering how so many people are talking about it.

I think that's pretty much it (though I shouldn't say that, since I use few acronyms).

Maybe HS for Heavenly Spoon, TOFU, and the mods as well?

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

Oh I remember the OHKO and the 2HKO, and so on.

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

BRs - Battle Roads
CC - City Championships

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

Add the trading corner ones:
CML=Check My list
LMK= Let Me Know

Right there. He just choose not to.

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

But still, they should. GC is now getting so much attention right now it's not even funny. (Well, I guess you said that too...)

It'd still improve the article's quality...

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

You make a good point (even though I already mentioned it), and maybe DOX will come back and enter it in.

PS Why do you like -9 anyway?

EDIT:

Idgi. You spread with yanmega (....how original) and then you spread with garintina and hope you draw a few prizes? Amphy shouldn't even be in here, or a 1-1-1 line at best, and I can think of a few more pokes to add in here to actually make this deck work.
IDGI? I never saw that before.

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

I always find myself repeating what others have said...but mostly because their point was exactly my opinion.

I truly don't know...

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

The -9 question.

Anyway, on topic, this was still a good article regardless. To add to the trading section of acronyms, look up the thread that has a whole bunch of em'. Stickied in the Trading Corner.

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

I've seen "IIRC" popping up here and there.

Translation: If I Remember Correctly

And

IMO: In My Opinion

Those always through me for loopholes in forums. Though they can be very general.

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

What's IMHO then?I guess it's In My Humblest Opinion ?
If I may add:
CMIIW : Correct Me If I'm Wrong

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

All good sorry I haven't updated in a while, sleep and stuff like that.
I will add most of what you suggested.

IDGI: If I am correct it is... I don't get it.

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

Perhaps you should add the Japanese Sets that are being talked about a lot.

ToA = Temple of Anger
CfM = Cry from Mysterious
IFDS = Intesnse Fight in the Destroyed Sky

Also, I know I use it a lot and I'm not so sure about other members, but:

TTTT = To tell the truth

Then perhaps you might want to write some of the commonly used words in the TCG, that aren't Acronyms (even though the title states it is), such as "drop" (meaning to play a card on the field), "donk", "GG" (Good Game), and "GJ" (Good Job). Also, a lot of people are refering to Torterra now as "Tort", so I think that you may want to mention it as an abbreviation. You missed GG and PLOX as well.

Good Article, nicely done.

RE: Acronyms for Newcomers

Well you can add the stuff abaxter said and change the title to TCG Terms for Newcomers, Also, some people refer to empoleon as emp. :)
