(3) Pokemon Game Show Reveals [8/16]

RE: Pokemon Game Show Reveals [8/16]

Xerneas and Yveltal look GORGEOUS on the title screen.

Wow! A ton of info tonight! Does anyone know more about the Pokemon-Amie? This info was from 4chan: In the Pokémon Amie feature, there are three stats listed for your Pokémon. Friendliness, Hunger and Play. It's currently unclear whether these features affect gameplay. The sweets you obtain for it are called Pofure.

We Fallout: New Vegas now.

well thaaats a gorgeous wii u shot.

wonder what it will be. can't see the justification for a battle-only game ala revolution what with wifi matchmaking existing on the handhelds.

...A Fairy Type in the TCG? Well, that's redundant. Colorless could have done with the boost. Though, I guess Darkness being weak to Fairy instead of Fighting would be nice. Fighting needs to become a less potent attacking type, too much is weak to it.

It's odd we don't know anything else specific about the Mega Evolution mechanic if it was shown off in this way, though. How long do mega evolutions last? A turn? <I doubt this is the case, since the screenshots seem to imply otherwise, but still.> Until you switch out? The rest of the battle? Is there any way of shutting them off short of negating (Embargo) or removing their Mega Stone?

Just speculating here, but in the upper right hand of the image with lucario and blaziken, there is a fighting type symbol from the tcg. It looks like a logo for something. I'm predicting some sort of Pokemon 2D fighting game.

About "Pokémon: The Origin" I liked it very much, too bad it's a one time thing, at least for now. The only thing that I disliked was Red's, Green's and Oak's faces...they seem somewhat fat/chubby. And Lance, wow, he really looks like a totally badass (and a vampire ready to bite Red's neck).

Regarding that picture of Lucario and Blaziken, I like what I see but I must say that it reminds me of Street Fighter (scenario, two Fight type Pokémon). =S

A Pokémon fighter?
My god, that would sound absolutely incredible.

Moar info:
-You can toggle between running and walking by simply pressing B, WITHOUT CONSTANTLY HOLDING IT.
-You have to take off the roller skates to run into grass.
-You encounter a wild Skiddo running near the fountain in the demo, you can ride it. It's apparently "Mach Bike-fast"
-Trainer Battles start with artwork of them transitioning into their models and then sending out their Pokemon. This all happens in less than three seconds. - -They also have Victory and Defeat animations (you can see Serena's Victory animation and Calem and Sycamore's Defeat animations in the pics on the main page).
-Battle animations are 2fast, you can turn them off if you want.

Some guy from /vp/ posted a few audio-less clips, but he's coming back to record them with audio recorders tonight(?).

Here are the clips I was talking about. They're more like 28-second long compilations of clips:

Here's a video from the Game Show where that mysterious image originated from. It was a retrospective video showing Pikachu walking surrounded by all the different Pokemon generations. It then ended with X and Y's title screens and release date before suddenly flashing the image of Lucario vs Blaziken:

woop new battle footage (no audio). Litleo has Unnerve.

Seeing the video and all these clips are making me even more excited for October! To think I didn't like gen 6 at first....

Discuss? I think you mean freak out!

There's so much here. I'm loving the Fairy type symbol, and the footage looks absolutely astounding. And now I have to wait for this other mysterious Pokemon game as well; I wonder what it will be? It's not a double battle, so not another member of the Colosseum/XD games, but it looks fantastic either way.

Gotta go update my Fairy type symbol...

I like the official one, though!

Hmmmmmmmmm new game speculation. I call that it is probably another ranger game for the 3DS or it isn't anything :/

Any doubt that X and Y won't be incredible no longer exists.
I can't wait for what is shaping up to be the best Pokemon games ever.

I'm pretty sure it has already established that Mega evolution lasts until the end of the battle. The pokémon revert after the battle ends.

I wanna know what the Mega Stone for Mewtwo is called (would make sense to have a shared one with Mew and that would be evident in the name if this was the case).

The animations, especially in battle, are just BEAUTIFUL! D: Words can't even begin to describe... Wow.

The anime thing looks AMAZING too! I'm literally going to explode! Pokémon are delivering on some serious fan-service this time round!
