Look, this isn't ABOUT dying in office. On what grounds would you say Obama is going to be assasinated? McCain has the SAME chance of being assasinated as Obama. While McCain is at risk because he's slightly older DOESN'T MEAN HE'S GOING TO DIE IN OFFICE. His mother is what, 90 or 91 or something? She's posing for fashion magazines. I am SO sick of hearing McCain's age being such a problem. If he were 47 years old would you be more compelled to vote for him? Oh btw even if McCain were to be in office for just 2 years he would still do more than Obama could in 20, although, and I quote Joe Biden, "Obama will be tested. By wars and economic crisis". Now tell me. Who's mind is slipping?

Yours ?

^The most amazing responce I've ever read. EVER. BTW, please go look at biden's voting record if you think he has ANY qualifications to be president (if something were to happen to Obama).

I'm sure there has been. Just need to look at the mob hits and the bloods and crypts for proof. Nothing on that type of scale, but there is still plenty of it to go around. :/

are u trying to say crips?
u know theres more if ur talking about gangbanging.
but i meant that there hasnt been any sucessful political figure assasinations since jfk died.
but either way the election sucks.

^Eh, crips/crypts, same thing. Crips just sounds more offensive because it's just an insult to crippled people (and crypts goes along with the death idea). And yeah, no major political figure has been assissinated in the U.S. since JFK (at least that I've heard of), but how many have there been? I would guess under 3000, 75%+ of which have protection.
Eh, I agree. The election has been dragged out far too long, and I'm sick of seeing Obama's commericals (gave the guy WAYYY to much money, though it's the democratic party and they don't have a clue as to how to handle money properly).

I was completely unaware that Barack Obama has been a former president and has experience with this job. Would you please enlighten me as to what # he is?

I'm voting for McCain/Palin...well, if I could vote.
I'm always caught in the middle between the economic
issues and some important values. Obama has some points
about him I like as well. Politics is confusing. :p

I am just saying that some people aren't ready for a black pres and they'll take him out!

lol. Same with John McCain. So how does he have experience either?

I don't like either as I've said, but McCain has had more experience than Obama. Look at what they've done and who has had more political experiance. Think about it...

http://www.obama-mccain.info/compare-obama-mccain-education.php

McCain
• Episcopal High School in Alexandria,VA., graduated
in 1954.

• United States Naval Academy, 1958;

McCain, the son and grandson of Navy admirals, graduated 894th of 899
in his Naval Academy class in 1958. His class rank was low due to
poor grades for acedemics, conduct and leadership, which reflected
his sloppy appearance, rebellious attitude, and poor relations with
his company officer.

• National War College, 1973;

• When asked about his best and worst grades or subjects in school,
McCain replied, "I never got good grades."

Obama:
• Columbia University in New York, New York, BA in
political science, 1983;

• Harvard Law School, J.D., 1991 graduated magna cum
laude or in the top ten percent of his class;

lolwut? Well, I guess he was a POW so I would totally vote for him

Mccain/Palin not because I like Mccain (although Palin is great), but because Obama's tax plan will kill small businesses and thus throw us further into economic turmoil. Also now is not the time to experiment with "spreading the wealth around" as Obama has put it.

Obama is not exactly...spreading wealth around. It's not Socialism. It's called using tax dollars to help middle class americans. McCain and Palin are just saying "OMG Socialist" because Joe the Plumber says "Oh, that sounds like Socialism!"... Well, Bush is the one to blame for that. (ex: Economic Stimulus, Bailing out the Banks and Wall Street) Obama is not preaching a change in Government.

McCain and Palin try to make it seem that way. Like Obama is really gonna take all the money, start a terrorist society in America, and appoint Bill Ayers to his cabinet. Chances of that? 0%.

McCain and Palin sure do a great job of lying. Accusations (toward Obama) against the facts- about 85% are false.

Obama's accusations about McCain? About 15% false. I for one see through the lies.

And look. I don't want Obama to get shot either. But the Secret Service and FBI are on it.

They already got a groups of guys who just said they wanted to put together an assassination. I trust that Obama is being watched over well. Even now.

Another interesting thing: Palin is now going "Rogue" and "Diva". She's not listening to McCain campaign advisors. (Which some of them would be working with her in the White House if she was elected!) Also, a journalist from CNN got to sit down with both of them for an interview. The journalist later said on the air that "McCain and Palin seemed uncomfortable together, it was like they put two random people in a room." They just met for one of the first times a few months ago! I wonder why! Obama and Biden communicated during the primaries and before the pick.

Don't we want leaders who work well with others?

I'm a bit iffy, but I think I'm going with Obama. As Zyflair said a while back, I think he actually has a better chance of improving the country.

Regardless of who wins, I just hope we can get back on track.

By the way, I checked Yahoo this morning and found out Obama's winning. Both in popular vote and electoral vote.

Well, Im rooting for Obama for a few reasons.
1) We despratly need a democrat in office. After the 8 year near apacalyptic, we just need to see how a democrate(I dont care if its obama any democrate.) will responde to these events.
2)Im not dissin' McCain. To me he has proven he can be a great president. BUT If he does die(which statisics say he will) then Palin will be president which will be awful. If he want to have a women to be his runnin mate(to get women without minds of their own votes) then why doesnt he pick a ready one.

BUt when push comes to shove we need both of them to stop disagreeingand start getting america on the right track before its too late.

Mc'Cain , why?
Because he wants to keep us in the war and he said he would lower taxes.
Why do I want to keep us on the war? Because if we get out now , we will have a high risk of having another terrorist attack.

Mc'Cain?

Anyway, only one day left, so remind your folks to vote or for all you 18+ out there, vote vote vote vote VOTE. For whoever it may be. Cya.

voting for McCain.

my Status:

Age: 23
Sex: Female
Race: Asian

reasons: Obama's plans may sound good but funding them don't mathematically add up.
Robin hood doesn't need to be president.

Obama voted against the ban against the ban on partial birth abortion
Despite his Child loving attitude in debate 3, his voting record shows other wise.
This is because he is also against the Born Alive Child Protection Act.
