RE: Quick question about this special energy... For the effect to take place, you need to attach the card to your active pokemon. There is nothing stopping you from attaching it to one of your benched pokemon, unless the csrd stipulates you can not. You just would not get the effect.

I have double checked everything. If you choose to deal damage to your opponent's active Pokémon as one of your 3 choices, then yes, Fight Song does increase the damage dealt to it. So in the situation you have outlined in the OP, yes, the Active would take 90 damage and the two benched Pokémon...
