  • in regards to what you said on PO before the server closed;
    tried with Staraptor.
    failed.
    You need me on the PO server? Sure, but I don't know how much of a help I'll be.
    Hey! I've got exams up till the 20th, but I should be able make time for a match as I'm on study leave. My timezone is GMT and unless I'm at an exam, I'll be available, so what time is good for you?
    Equinox, EV training's a bit tricky when you're first starting out; you have to keep in mind that each and every time your Pokemon gets experience, they get that Pokemon's EV distribution as well. Thus, the way to start EV training is with a level 1 (or otherwise untouched) Pokemon.

    If your Scyther in question has just been used in-game and trained against whatever, finding the EVs will be practically impossible; you will need to use the EV-reducing berries to reduce all EVs to 0 and then find out.
    But in that case it's usually just easier to start fresh and breed a new one.
    Equinox, well first, you need to know the Pokemon's EVs as well. Then you take those, plus their stats, and plug them into an IV calculator.

    I generally use Psypoke's IV calculator for my own personal use, and although it only gives a general idea, it works for what I need it for. Other examples involve Serebii and Metalkid IV calculators, which are a bit more complicated to use but also a lot more accurate and specific.
