    It's all good! I'm fine. :] I finally turned in my senior thesis, which is also a contest entry against other colleges and countries. We designed a nuclear-powered containership. Right now I have a summer job at a shipyard that designs and builds nuclear-powered warships. Holy smokes, these people are great at what they do.

    Now that my thesis and that DRAIN ON MY CREATIVITY is gone, I can get back into my creative writing. ^-^

    Yeah, but it's a shame since Skarmory can outspeed with a little speed investment to pull off a last second Defog or Dragonite can go for the Outrage (maybe even live a Dragon Pulse with its bulk). I really wish they had given it at least base 70 so it reaches a decent speed tier. So much potential with so many mistakes.

    I would be tempted to rank it as the biggest disappointment this gen, but a few others take the cake (Hawlucha just got screwed by no Flying Gem).

    I have a weird thing with mons I run where they can't be slower than everything and not have priority, so I'm going to avoid Ampharos like the plague. Man, why did they ruin a good idea. Mold Breaker does nothing and it can't even get Draco Meteor to really punish.

    Thunder Wave or Body Slam / Dragon Pulse / Focus Blast / Thunderbolt or Discharge would be what I would run if not on Trick Room.

    tbh I haven't used any set besides SD once, so idk how Pain Split would work. It sounds like a healthy dose of offensive and defensive pressure, especially if you play early with Intimidate Mawile. I actually haven't used any Megas outside of Manectric (oh god I love Electric-type pivots ever since Lanturn last gen), Venusaur, Medicham, and Charizard X, so I should probably expand to other stuff.

    The whole stat drop makes me think no. Obviously a -1 Mawile is still dishing out huge damage, but it just turns me off with no recovery + Substitute + switching out. Focus Punch does the same damage, but it charges so...
