    Originality disappeared?

Actually, it does. Nothing sucks more than running out of Supporters and having to rely on your turn-opening draw to survive. Claydol provides huge draw power in the form of constant hand refreshment for the paltry price of 4 cards in your deck and one spot on your bench. It's a huge gain for a...

    Originality disappeared?

Because deckbuilding advice isn't supposed to be original. It's supposed to make the deck not suck. Adding in a 2-2 Claydol will make a deck not suck. Claydol is a super popular card, this is true. But it's popular for a reason, that reason being that he is probably the most important card in...

    (1) New 'HeartGold & SoulSilver' Scans [2/20]

*Looks at other scans of the card online* ... Well I'll be. Still, the brightness of the new scans bothers me a bit.

    (1) New 'HeartGold & SoulSilver' Scans [2/20]

Don't worry, WPM! I believe in you! Believe in the me that believes in you! /kamina Back to the scans, I'm just not sure about the new ones. I think it's something with the color saturation or brightness, but the scans just seem too bright compared to the old ones. For example: Old Jumpluff...

Just Returned To The TCG - Explanations Inside & Assistance Needed!

Ah, that's fine. If it's nothing official, it's best not to sink too much money into it. Unless you plan on hardcore collecting, in which case more power to you.

Just Returned To The TCG - Explanations Inside & Assistance Needed!

If you're just gonna goof off with a friend and still primarily play Yu-Gi-Oh, then just buy a World Championship deck and exhume some Supporters or whatever from it. (I would get Stallgon, since I don't like SPs). That being said, what is it that draws you to the game after 10 or so years...

    Originality disappeared?

There are hundreds of cards in the format, true, but half of those are generic commons and uncommons. Don't put Croagunk on the same level as Flygon. Besides, not every list is the same - each player adds his own personal flavor to a deck, be it a streamlined Trainer line, additional techs, what...

Poll: Play to win or for fun?

I play fun decks that happen to be marginally competitive. For me, those tend to be stupidly over-complicated decks, like Speed Magnezone or Floatzel GL Energy Cyclone. I get creamed every now and then, but it's not like I go to high-level tournaments anyway (they're all so far away... ( ._.)).

    Popular Decks of Old?

It's all about the Haymaker. Electabuzz can do 10 damage on one energy, AND possibly paralyze, and can do up to 40 for two (risking some damage, but hey). Hitmonchan was also a damage beast, doing 20 for one energy and 40 for three, with no drawbacks. Scyther was the real monster, able to do 30...

    Best Supporter Cards for Decks

Most of them are pretty good. Roseanne's Research and Bebe's Search are essential for searching for Basics and Evolution cards, respectively, and a must in every deck (although you may want to swap Roseanne's for Pokemon Collector, or Bebe's with Elm's Training Method depending on your deck)...

    Most wanted Cards?

League or not, Claydol and Uxie are still used in like every deck ever. If anything, the fact that they're League promos is a testament to how valuable they really are. I'm seconding the Trainer and Supporter ideas. Almost every deck needs Bebe's, Roseanne's, Candies, etc. Just because they're...

I pulled something cool from a booster pack!

RE: The "I pulled something cool" topic. Got a pack at Target, pulled Typhlosion Prime. Got two packs at Wal-Mart, pulled Typhlosion Prime again, Slowbro (the most bro-tastic Pokemon ever), a DCE, and a Prof. Elm's. This is much better luck than I'm used to.

It's horrible and ugly and new and therefore I hate it. But I'll warm up to him.

    (1) Basic 'Video Game Championship' Rules Announced [2/9]

True, but that's why you send in Groudon - Drought cuts Water Spout's damage in half, and leading with another scarfer faster than Kyogre can hit him hard, lowering his damage output even further. But I see what you're saying, and Kyogre is pretty scary. But you can still prepare beforehand.
