‘Eevee Heroes’ Fully Revealed! (Secret Rares Next Week)

All 69 regular cards from Japan’s Eevee Heroes have just been revealed! The set will release in Japan next Friday.

The secret rares should be revealed by Tuesday night. We could see special art versions of all the Eeveelutions (except Espeon, who’s getting one in a separate product). A while ago we revealed the set’s gold Pokemon will be Inteleon.

In terms of when we’ll get Eevee Heroes in English, the cards from this set will either become part of August’s Evolving Skies set, our unnamed November set, or fall’s special 25th anniversary set. We don’t know at this time.

Points for its inclusion in August’s Evolving Skies are the fact the Eevee in this set features Rayquaza in its artwork, who’s obviously the mascot of Evolving Skies. There is no Rayquaza in the Japanese set, so the artwork could have been made with the English set in mind. (Or the artwork is simply foreshadowing Sky Stream, the next Japanese set that features Rayquaza.) “Evolving” would be a reference to the Eeveelutions in this case.

Points against its inclusion in Evolving Skies are the fact 50 cards were cut from Chilling Reign. Chronologically those cards should be released in Evolving Skies ahead of the cards from Eevee Heroes. (However, TPCi could save those cards for a future set and jump straight into Eevee Heroes.) In this second scenario, “Evolving” may be a reference to the set being a spiritual evolution to Roaring Skies, which also featured Rayquaza. It’s also a bit weird to combine an Eeveelutions set with a Rayquaza set but use a “Sky” noun and have the set logo favor Rayquaza’s colors. The Eeveelutions are obviously more popular. So at this point we’re not sure what will happen!

Currently Eevee Heroes can only be bought in Japan through a lottery draw due to short supply caused by customer demand and extreme scalping. When reservations first opened, Japan’s Pokemon Center website crashed because of the load. (It’s widely suspected this was mainly due to bots.) Luckily Creatures has promised to print more of the product in the future.

Each 5-card booster pack of Eevee Heroes will come with a new “Puzzle” card, meaning there will be six cards per booster pack. With these Puzzle cards you can play a standalone puzzle game that utilizes art and effects from the card game. This is to appeal to fans who don’t play the actual TCG. [no_toc]

Some of the cards in the set feature the same “scene” in their artwork, which changes from card to card as the story unfolds:
