“Shiny Treasure ex” Secret Rares Revealed: 170 Cards!

The secret rare cards from Shiny Treasure ex are now being posted to social media by Japanese fans! The set officially releases in Japan on December 1st.

Most new cards from Shiny Treasure ex are expected to become part of our Paldean Fates set on January 26th.

We previously reported on the box pull rates for this set.

Be sure to keep checking back here for new cards and follow us on Twitter for updates! We will continue to update this story throughout the coming days.

Update: Added more Shiny Pokemon below thanks to site contributor @beebeedmdm, who opened them!

Shiny (“S”) Pokemon

All regular Pokemon in the main set get shiny cards! The only exceptions are Gimmighoul and Gholdengo. It’s possible this is because Gholdengo is still shiny-locked in the video games.

Shiny Super Rare (“SSR”) Pokemon ex

Art Rares (“AR”)

There are only four of these in the set. These are called “Illustration Rares” in English.

Secret Rares (“SR”)

Special Art Rares (“SAR”)

Nemona, Arven, and Penny all feature a Poke Ball in the center of their artwork.

Ultra Rares (“UR”)

Japan’s gold cards have the raised foil effect we’re getting in Paldean Fates, as you can see here in our tweet:

God Packs

“God Packs” have been confirmed for Shiny Treasure ex.

In one opening, a god pack came with six “S” cards, three “SSR” cards, and one “AR” card.

I’m admittedly torn on this set myself. I think I’m starting to feel the fatigue from these Shiny cards after two previous installments of the Fates series, though I’m absolutely eyeballing the hell out of the Shiny SARs (ESPECIALLY Gardevoir, that artwork is a thing of beauty). I’m also getting excited about my beloved FA/SAR Supporters (That. New. Iono. It is STUNNING, but oh my GOD, she’s gonna blow up AGAIN!), and I’m curious about this whole raised foil mumbo jumbo they’re boasting about. But beyond that, I don’t have much to say about this set. I REALLY wish there were more Art Rares and SAR Pokemon, man… but hey, High Class sets can’t be too bad, it’s a nice enough effort!

it definitely is unfortunate that there are so few illustration rare cards. with that being said, the illustration rares that we do have in this set are absolute peak

usgmen's mew ex has got to be one of my new favorite cards. usgmen has been making cute and silly pokemon animations for a while now, and has blown up ever since their generation 9 animations went viral. so to see them have their own illustration rare is awesome to see!

USGMEN is definitely one of the biggest surprises of the set. I can’t imagine how big of an honor it must be for them after making such an impact on the Pokemon community for so long, I can’t wait for Friday so they can legally talk about it and share their thoughts! 🤩❤️
