Five Futsal-Themed Pokemon Promos Coming to England!

Update: Added an image of “Pikachu on the Ball” below thanks to our friend @PatChampYouTube! The other three cards are Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble “On the Ball.” Their images haven’t been revealed yet.

Pokemon fans in England will have the opportunity to collect five futsal-themed promo cards! Futsal is a sport similar to soccer, but played indoors.

Starting September 11th, you’ll receive an “Eevee on the Ball” promo card if you spend £15 on Pokemon TCG products at GAME stores or their online shop. Three other promo cards will be released at GAME in subsequent weeks — they are Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble “On the Ball.”

You can also get a fifth Pikachu promo if you enroll your futsal club in the Pokemon Youth Futsal Programme. The Pikachu promo will not be available at GAME stores.

This five-card set is special because it’s exclusive to England. We won’t get it in America or Japan! It’s incredibly rare for a country outside of Japan and the U.S. to receive their own promo set.

Last year TPCi partnered with the England Football Association to promote Youth Futsal. It’s part of TPCi’s initiative to promote youth in sports. (Note that “soccer” is named “football” in the United Kingdom and countries outside of the United States.)

BASINGSTOKE, UK – 10th September 2020 – GAME proudly confirms today that from 11th September 2020 it will be launching four special Pokémon England Futsal trading cards along with free Futsal themed promo card holders. The first card will be a special Eevee England Futsal card launching exclusively online and at GAME stores. Fans across the country can head online or to their local GAME store on the 11th September throughout England – subject to availability and whilst stocks last of course!

Four exclusive cards will be coming exclusively to GAME, but standing a chance of getting your hands on a fifth special card couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is register your Club for The FA Pokémon Youth Futsal Programme and you’ll be in with the chance to receive the Pikachu England Futsal Promo Card. Find out more here – https://www.mastertheball.com

These five special Pokémon England Futsal trading cards mark Pokémon’s partnership with the England Football Association to promote Youth Futsal and encourage participation in this highly skillful and exciting version of football. Fans can get their hands on one of these super-rare cards exclusively online with selected bundles and throughout English stores when they spend £15 on a Pokémon Trading Card Game product. The highly collectible cards are only available from GAME in England from the 11th September and online.

I love how it's not just "Eevee" like most of these promos would be. It's Eevee on the Ball

I like that little extra touch, kinda reminds me of something like Cool Porygon and whatnot.

So the Pikachu will be the rarest of all? Lucky for me, I'll be able to get the 4 easy ones by going to GAME directly. The last one though, we'll see how much it goes for online. It says "couldn't be easier," yet there's a "chance" involved.

Real shame they partnered with GAME for this. The place is a complete rip off since Mike Ashley took over. £4.99 just to order and collect from store!

The booster bundles sold out in a matter of hours and even though it’s supposedly one per customer, there’s people already selling them online at £50 a pop and have 10+ in stock...

Can’t fault the card though, and great marketing from TCPi to combine Pokemon with Footy and sell it exclusively to England.

  8. Also in regard to the information on PokeBeach. All five of the cards aren’t UK exclusive. They are literally England Exclusive. Which makes them even more rare.

The other 3 countries in the UK... Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland can’t get this promo because the Futsal Programme is funded specifically by the England Football Team.

It’s a mistake a lot of people from outside of the UK often make. The UK is four countries.

I saw 1 person on eBay say "only 50 were made/given out per on location store"

Next thing I know, these are selling for £50+
You could literally walk into the store, spend £20, get the eevee card, sell it for 50, minus eBay and shipping fees, and you make around £15 profit and keep what you bought. Rinse and repeat. Damn.

Right? And I'm not making this stuff up. Look up Eevee on the Ball right now and you'll see a seller/listing with a person holding at least a dozen of them on one hand. That seller definitely did the whole process again and again, or could work at the store and have kept some.
