What do you think is better in (straight) Luxchomp? Dialga G LV.X or Blaziken FB LV.X? Here are some Pros and Cons of both:

-Dialga G LV.X-

-PROS-
*Can stop annoying PokeBodys like Vileplume/Scizor Prime/Donphan's
*Can be used as a backup attacker if necessary
*Higher HP
*Could slow down your opponent with Deafen (if you need to use it)
*Can tank with Special Metal Energy (if you run them)

-CONS-
*Higher Retreat
*Needs more Energy to attack than Blaziken
*Doesn't have attack flexibility (can only attack the Active Pokemon/Can't drag Pokemon up)
*Weak to popular cards like Blaziken FB LV.X/Charizard/etc.

-Blaziken FB LV.X-

-PROS-
*Can attack for just one Energy
*Can drag up an opposing threat (Vileplume, Regice, etc.)
*Can hit for 80/120 with only an Energy and an E-Gain
*Lower Retreat
*Can OHKO Dialga G LV.X with four Special Metal Energy attached with Jet Shoot

-CONS-
*Has a good chance of being KOed after you use Jet Shoot
*Lower HP
*Weak to popular cards like Gyarados/Kingdra LA/etc.

Which one do you think could be better?

IMO Blaziken, since it's actually not bad against Gyarados if they don't have a warp in hand if you bring up Regice. Although it does have a good chance of being revenge KO'ed, if you KO their tanking DGX that's practically GG from there.

RE: What is better in LuxChomp? Blaziken FB LV.X or Dialga G LV.X?

I think it honestly depends on your meta. I mean, if you see a fair amount of Vileplume, Gengar, or trainer-lock decks, you should probably go with Dialga GX to lock up them stupid bodies that cause you pain. If those aren't so common, I would go with Blaziken FBX, as, even though Dialga GX can body-lock, it is rather slow compared to Blaziken, Luxray, and Garchomp. Its damage is also not as high for the energy it takes (it needs 3 to do 80, whereas the others only need 2 or 1).

RE: What is better in LuxChomp? Blaziken FB LV.X or Dialga G LV.X?

This one is easy; Blaziken. What popular match-ups does Dialga help with? Vilegar, and it might be hard to get out for that match-up and it only helps you for a turn or two. Blaziken helps in the more popular match-up, Dialgachomp. It can ohko Dialga G LV.X, so they either have to make a slow recovery or never It also helps slightly versus Vilegar and Sablelock.

Blaziken by far. BLG IMO is the BDIF (Wow, lots of abbreviations :p). Lux works against Gyarados, Blaziken handles most tanks and can easily drag up plumes, and Garchomp cleans up. Blaziken does anything DGX does, and much more.

RE: What is better in LuxChomp? Blaziken FB LV.X or Dialga G LV.X?

Ehm, DGX + 4 Sp Metal + E-belt + snowpoint = Blaziken cant kill this.

^that will never happen.

@OP DGX. It helps with plenty of matchups including vilegar and mewperior, both of which are big right now.

^ That set-up is so unrealistic. Besides, by the time you set that whole thing up, Luxray and Garchomp would have already sniped and taken almost all their prize cards.

@Shaymin; That puts Dialga up to 200 hp. If it's burned, and Blaziken hits you for 80+40 extra from burn = 120x2 = 240 -40 = 200 not including damage three times from burn possible = 2 prizes. So yes, it can die.

Also, I'd have to go with Blaziken. It's already been stated why.

ShayminLv.X: DialgaChomp doesn't even run Snowpoint. Blaziken requires 1 Energy. 1 energy Gain. Dialga--4 Sp. Metals, 1 Stadium, and a belt.

A point to add, while it really depends on your meta, I still think Blaziken is by far superior. If your meta is filled with rogues that depend on bodies or Mewperior, DGX is better.

DGX is good in DialgaChomp, but isn't as good a tech as Blaziken FB LV.X. Blaziken can do almost everything Dialga can better.

Find out what your metagame is, and tech accordingly. DGX is just going to get Leveled Down, your best answer for Vilegar is KOing Vileplume not stalling it (I realize you can burn your trainers, Vilegars have a lot of options now).

No smart Dialga player would willingly leave their 4 metal/belted dialga up there, knowing you have Blaziken. If they do, Blaziken gets you one KO one a Dialga, then it will get revenge killed, then they set up another Dialga (Although not taking).

Neither Dialga nor Blaziken do anything for your Uxie, Machamp, Gyarados, Luxchomp or Sabelock match ups. You have to think about those just as much if not more than Vilegar and Dialgachomp.

Ehem.. I did that..

But i think blaziken is better since you can use it in any matchup as an attacker.
Another question since there are, 2/3? Threads about this, absol g as a tech. So now people should have blaziken fb, dialga g and absol g to chose a tech from. Still blaziken? Or will absol g be getting more popular.

Aren't most of those vunerable to Deafen?

Absol's not a good tech. It needs a sp. dark to one-shot Lostgar, and doesn't really help with any matchups all in all.
