Following yesterday’s reveals, new cards from Wild Force and Cyber Judge were just shown at Japan’s Champion’s League Kyoto! The sets will release on January 26th. We expect their cards to become part of our Temporal Forces set in March.

I never expected to see Iron Thorns look that alive. Takeshi Nakamura did a superb job on those eyes. Now I’m actually excited about what felt like the least inspiring Future Pokémon. Also, kodama did a good job keeping Flutter Mane in character, and 5BAN has managed to make Iron Boulder feel less rotund without going off model, giving its design a more balanced feel. I like the Iron Crown ex the most, but the other illustrations are solid renders. As nice as it is when kawayoo, Uta, and other 2D illustrators get commissions for these cards, I’m glad Pokémon kept these ones in one style.

Justinbasil’s Master Ball prediction is correct, and I must say, I haven’t been reminded of a particular illustrator this much since I realize Uta wasn’t kawayoo! This illustration is giving me Mitsuhiro Arita vibes for some reason. I’m probably in the minority, but I think it’s a beautiful card.

So Explorer's Guidance is basically Hapu's long lost brother.

Cryptomaniac's Deciphering is really cool, as it has a lot of partners it can work with even as early as first turn going second (e.g. Raikou/Entei V or Squawkabilly ex), and as mentioned above cards like Kirlia and Bibarel make it even better on your following turns.

Flutter Mane could be kinda fun for Alakazam ex, or at least it would be if it hit anything that you wouldn't rather have Klefki or Mimikyu for (or Wobbuffet in Expanded).

Just like it has been in Expanded for ages now, Master Ball I guess is an okay budget Ace Spec until you get your hands on a better one like Prime Catcher.

I'm excited to maybe throw in a 1-of walking wake into my roaring moon deck. im already running water energies for greninja, might as well give them more targets. plus the attack isnt half bad if you run a brute bonnet package to poison. 240 is a good number. nothing can really stop that turn 1 going second.

My quesiton is: how many sets are there?

I see 5K (Wild Force), 5M (Cyber Judge), HK, and HM (the set where the Master Ball Ace Spec is from)

Flutter Mane is actually really good for decks that struggle against Wobb Stall or Wobb in general. This is a must have for Regidrago VSTAR which struggles a lot against it. Apart from that so far most of these cards have been pretty lackluster tbh. I think I could make Walking Wake work somehow since it does make Rolling Iron irrelevant insofar as they don’t have ability lock on. Sadly this really does spell the end for Shadow Rider being a viable deck in the Expanded format. It already stopped being relevant back in PAL and it’s only gotten worse due to R-Moon existing. Flutter Mane is just the nail in the coffin because Rider really needs Wobb to get going.

Cryptomaniac’s Deciphering is very good supportter :) Pretty decent early supportter too if you manage to search Radiant Greninja from your deck before playing this card

Two sets (Wild Force and Cyber Judge) and then two decks (Koraidon and Miraidon), of which the new cards likely will become our Temporal Forces

Would Iron Crown ex's attack bypass the effect of Manaphy on benched Pokémon? It states that it ignores weakness, resistance and any other effects on the defending Pokémon.
