Ruling Top Cut Question?

Hi today at regionals we had a top 8 cut and I got 9th. The person who got 8th cant show up. If I go could I take his spot? Thanks. P.S.Its Ontario Regionals.

It's probably waaaaaaaaaay too late now, but I'm pretty sure the answer would have been yes. That guy would have been treated as a Did Not Finish, so everyone else would get bumped up by 1.

I'm 95% sure about this, but I don't have a link to the Tourney Rules document right now (I'm at a library).
