Shoutouts to spammy for the banner n_n
Hi PB. One Approved, aka Teapot here, and I'm back with another playthrough! My first one went over really well, so I'm hoping that we can make this one just as successful! Shoutouts to do [admin]Drohn[/admin] for the idea for this one. This will be a monotype-Fire playthrough of Pokemon Emerald Version.
Da Rules
~Monotype Fire and 1 TBD Pokemon, since there's only 5 Fire-types obtainable pre-national dex.
~Non-fires may be used as HM slaves (because you know, Surfing is kind of a big deal) but no more. Non-fires may never enter the fray of battle. (Until the Battle Frontier which would be literally impossible w/o other types lol)
~Shift Style is for wimps. Gym Leaders, E4, Frontier (obviously), and Magma/Aqua Bosses will be "set" style.
~All captured pokemon are nicknamed
~In addition to "set" style, we follow the gym leader's rules. So if the gym leader has only 3 pokemon, I will only be allowed 3 pokemon. No spamming revives/ethers in the middle of battles. Only 1 healing berry per battle. Etc.
~Vaporeon is best eeveelution

It was a quiet evening in the town of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Too quiet. As I strolled back from my most recent band concert (which involved the Lord of the Rings Symphony!!!), I knew something was up. I have that intuitive sense about me. Suddenly, a white fan pulled up alongside me, and three men jumped out. Unfortunately for them, I am a second degree black-belt. Two broken arms and a concussion later, I was strolling towards my dorm once again. Not. Before I was able to react, a man dressed as a ninja out of a bush to my left, and threw some punches. Our battle raged on for the better part of an hour, but at last, I was bested. He scored the knockout punch to my temple, and I crumpled into darkness.
When I woke up, I was in a van. The back of the white van, I assumed. There was a mountain of boxes all around me, and very little light. The truck suddenly came to a halt. The door opened, and I squinted at the light that poured in. When my eyes adjusted, I was still confused. No evil grunts had come back to push me out of the truck and move me along. The doors just opened. I cautiously walked up to them, and jumped out, onto the green lawn. There was a couple houses and a larger building, but not much more. Soon, somebody came out of the house to greet me.
So I walked next door. I’m still salty because I finally escaped the horrors of my LeafGreen playthrough, only to be tossed right back into the fray, this time in the Hoenn region. DNA appears to be gamemaker, so I’m expecting it to be just as ridiculous as the last playthrough. Anyways, turns out my next door neighbor/rival isn’t home, but their mom’s like “lol just go upstairs”, so I did.
I departed and went right to the route north of Littleroot because I already know that’s where I’ll find the prof getting run down. I was really hoping to find DNA getting run down by some pathetic wild lv. 2 pokemon. I was disappointed. But I guess it makes sense to have a professor be the professor. Anyways, I found PB Professor MyLittleKeldeo pathetically running away from a Zigzagoon that had apparently slaughtered his entire team.
Torchic takes the Zigzagoon down in like 5 scratches, and we’re zapped back to the Lab. Torchic is a Sassy nature, and I nicknamed it “Vulcan” after the Roman god of the blacksmithing, closest thing I could come up with for fire/fighting. Also “Hephaestus” wouldn’t fit lol.
Now that I’m ready to set off on my adventure, I save the game. Tomorrow begins a bright new quest of a new playthrough! Until then, see you next time PokeBeach! Thanks for reading!
