Thursday, 3/6, The Injured Persian

That was a very touching story. Geovoni really does, er... did..., have a heart. I wonder who the "Pokemon Collection Group" is?

That was so touching. To see how Giovanni cared for Persian after so many times really touched me. Continue with this! It's really great.

I'm REALLY loving these manga chapters. Each Pokemon card having their own story... it makes me pull out my old binder of cards and look at the ones showcased XD

Now if you ever happen to obtain and scanlate the Pokemon TCG manga that Dogasu showed on his site, then I'll forever be in debt to you.

That was awesome, I hope you continue to have chapters of this manga in the future, I really enjoy it. Thanks!

Go! Go! Giovanni!

It's so cool to see Pokémon canon like this. It sort of reminds me of the way Star Wars has been handled-- The movies are central, but the video games, novels, and off-shoot cartoon series tell about other times and add to a vast universe.

Wow that looks pretty cool but I can't see the small print on each page. I hope they will have it through Nintendo Power or sell it in stores soon.:)

Interesting take on Giovanni as a little boy. I wonder if Kagemaru Himeno had thought about how, and more importantly, why he became the leader of Team Rocket. Is there a noble cause hiding behind a mask of villainy? Is the problem of Team Rocket not at the top, but at the grunt level?

Three things that bothered me though:
• There's a word choice error on Page 5. "You're hurt really badly," strictly speaking, means whoever hurt Persian did a really bad job at it. It should read, "You're hurt really bad," which means Persian is in urgent condition. Of course, we could all say that it's coming from the mouth of a child...though this child is very smart and very hardy.
• The boy somehow either had a sixth sense that the doctor at the Pokémon Center was up to no good, and neither was the Pokémon Collection Group, or he had some bad experiences with that bunch in the past. There's absolutely no way he could've figured out they're villainous from the information given to him. Even the van pulling out of a garage at the PokéCenter would have worked or suspicion that there's no Nurse Joy there.
• Persian's Screech was loud enough to knock the drivers of the van out cold, yet the boy was completely unaffected.

I know this isn't to be taken seriously though. It was probably a spur-of-the-moment thing for Himeno.

thank you for posting the mangas up. i love them. Himeno has been and still is one of my favorite card artists, and his mangas are so cute. continue posting the mangas? they are awesome. :3

Well, a little past life of Giovanni is always welcome. :] Great artwork, and I actually think I have that card. :p
