Thanks.

I'm adding you 42.
Apparently Shining Suicune is joining this despite the ban (he has communication with me).

Posting this right now, since I can't be on at midnight.
If you're reading this and you haven't joined, you can still enter now!

Directions: Read the following intro, and type a passage no more than 500 words long that fits as the next section. PM this passage to me. If you post it, you will have to rewrite a new passage in order to qualify for judging. You have to PM me your passage by 10/11/09, and it will not be accepted on any later date.

The sun glared over Cinnabar beach, consequently forming the currents of wind, making the intense heat bearable. Humans and Pokémon alike either relaxed on their backs (some of them under the shade of umbrellas, wearing sunglasses) or playfully had fun in numerous ways, be it building sand castles, the poor buildings eventually knocked down or washed away; be it running along the meadows of streaming sand, carefully (for most, at least) trying not to trample others; or be it swimming and surfing in the ocean, some even trying their hand at a sea battle on this sunny day.

Yes, all was fine...

“IT CAME!!” cried -

GO!

Ok, you two are in.
As of now, I have nothing to offer but a title, nor do I wish to actually make anything. If someone wishes to, then I'd be grateful.

A question. Will there be leniency for word count? I know programs count words differently. Really, what I'm asking is if someone posts and by their count it's 497 and by your count using a different program it's like 503, is that gonna be a big deal? Obviously stuff like "uh here's my entry it's 1500 words" is a problem, but a few words over the limit shouldn't be that big a deal.

I will not accept anything over 3% the full limit. Simply put, if I get something over 515, I will manually count it myself and then reject it if it is over that length. I would like it to be under 500 if possible though, thanks.

Just another question to clarify, since we're not writing the rest of this, do we just drop it mid-sentence as you did or can we put like "And so they headed off into the sunset." and give it some semblance of closure?

Also, does the 500-word limit include the bit you gave us?

RE: The Unfinished Page (A simple Pokémon-Related contest for all writers. Contest starts Tuesday 10/6/09)

You can. I just asked for the next section, so it doesn't have to be complete (semi-balance of closure is good). It does have to be coherent though (pretty obvious, but making sure).

No, it's just your section that counts in the 500 word limit.

Any more questions?

Yes. As long as you turn it before the midnight of 10/12.
