The Other Game: Yugioh

I knew I would never play in tournaments, so I just gave up. I never got how to play Pokemon TCG, so I gave up. I buy Yugioh packs once in while just to see the pics.

I still play. I like the 5ds series, it actually isn't as bad as you would think, if you gave it a chance. I used to play in kindergarten - 2nd grade. Then I quit for a while. However, in 5th grade, I saw two people playing, and then the spark was lit again. The next day I brought my old fashioned deck, and still somehow became best in the school. I have been playing ever since, and I am in 8th grade now.

I still have the Yugioh World Championship 2007 game from when I was like 10. Still play it when I'm bored :p

One thing I hate about all TCG, especially Yugioh is that they have the worst cards in the packs. I once got SIX of the same card. Six! And they were all terrible monsters. I had 3 of the same magikarp in one pack. The best thing about these TCG is the artwork.

I used to play semi-competitively, I quit before the Synchros came out, I couldn't keep up with all the stuff they threw at their players. I would spend all of my money on cards for a new deck, and then just a couple of weeks later either some new deck came out to beat mine, or a new forbidden/limited list came around and forbid my best combo pieces.

In the physical Trading Card Game, my favorites were Warrior's Toolbox (Marauding Captain, Command Knight, Freed, the Matchless Warrior, 15 other random Warrior-types tied together with a few copies of The A. Forces, Reinforcement of the Army, and Royal Decree for total oppression [little gets by Freed the Matchless General when you've got a Royal Decree out on the field]), Gadget Storm (Green Gadget, Red Gadget, and Yellow Gadget fetch each other out, Pot of Avarice keeps the assembly rolling, and the rest of the deck is support options like Chiron, the Mage, D.D Warrior Lady, and Exiled Force, some removal in the form of Smashing Ground/Fissure/Hammer Shot, and a couple of pump/drain cards to put the hurt on an unlucky opponent, including but not limited to Limiter Removal/Rush Recklessly/Shrink/Rising Energy. Also, Stronghold, just 'cuz).

I also happen to own a copy of the GBA Game, Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2006: Master's Edition, and on there I like playing all manner of burn and mill-style decks. Morphing Jar #1 and #2, Cyber Jar, Gravekeeper's Servant, Needle Worm, and Card Destruction for Mill, and Solar Flare Dragon, Stealth Bird, Bowganian, and Wave-Motion Cannon (with some defense support like Level-Limit Area B and Gravity Bind).

@PokeChamp: When you mentioned you played Warrior Toolbox and Gadget Storm, you reminded me of WC06, because those are both decks used by the main CPUs in that game (the former is a tier-4 deck, the latter is a tier-5).

I still have my WC06 lying around, although since I also own Tag Force 4 for the PSP (and 5, but that's not as important), when I unwind playing YGO, I get Tag Force out. ...Not that WC06 isn't fun; it's just that Tag Force 4 is capable of a lot more.

Smiley face.
