Let's self-evaluate~!
STAGE 1
Tried Drawing Before --> YES
Seldom Drawn Before --> YES (only 2 years experience, 1 year if you don't count non-digital)
Drawing is Current Trend --> YES. It's also basically why I hardly play videogames or watch TV anymore.
Drawing is Hobby --> YES
STAGE 2
Can draw for fun, no studies --> YESSSSS
Can manga/anime --> YES (and I consider this a weakness actually, being only able to do that)
How Come my manga/anime looks odd --> Sometimes
STAGE 3
WTF? --> Sometimes
Style between real/surreal --> NO (see: I can only draw manga/animu)
Style between real/cartoon --> NO
WHAT IS ANATOMY >_< --> YES. All the time. Especially fingers + toes
STAGE 4
Beginner artist yay! --> YES (I love how only at stage 4 do you get considered an 'artist', lol)
Study/Practice --> Uhh here's the problem: I practice but hardly study, so sometimes I practice screwing up over and over and not knowing what is amiss, just getting that gut feeling it looks wrong ORZ
STAGE 5
Intermediate artist yay! --> NOOOO
Study/Practice --> WHAT IS STUDY
STAGE 6
I am pro, people pay me to draw --> NO. And for the record 2 years ago people would've paid me NOT to draw
I can't believe people pay me to draw --> WHAT IS PAYMENT
Guess I'm sort of at upper-stage 2/lower-stage 3 now. I'd probably qualify for stage 4 if I actually STUDIED more than I practiced (not to mention practicing more outside my comfort zone)... yeah I don't really study art that much, which is counter-productive to improvement because on one hand I don't want it to be like something I'm ultra hardcore in since drawing is a pastime but on the other hand, I have an intense hatred for anything that doesn't turn out right. I have scrapped entire finished works before. Just Ctrl+A and Del and poof.
My lifetime threshold will probably be stage 5. I don't ever plan to go pro (as in entering the industry to do art for living).
Now it's your turn. Go
