Maybe you've heard of this, maybe not.
Recently, this guy was at his graduation from high school. He had all his credits and everything.
He goes up on the stage, and blows kisses at his family, then the principal comes up, and tells him to leave
because he was expressing inappropriate behavior. The kid didn't get to graduate because he
blew kisses to his family.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's not like he's waving around a machine gun or something.
He's not even being disruptive to the situation. Lots of people wave to their families at graduation,
and they don't get un-graduated.

Do you think that it was a fair punishment? Not enough? Too much?

WTF, this is a pretty stupid rule, it's the end of the year and all. It's his graduation and he has ALL his credits. But because he loves his family he cannot graduate.

Wow...

Fair punishment? There shouldn't even be a punishment.

What kind of school does things like this? Frankly, it's stupid (hence the title of the thread I guess..).

That's a low blow. The kid wanted to express his love for his parents. The principal was stupid and the punishment should never have happened.

Why would we hear about this? It's sad and all, but it's not like BREAKING NEWS.

Anyway, yeah, I've seen people streak and still get their degrees, so this is pretty mild. ._.

dmaster out.

Wow man America is weird :|, they are to sensitive on inappropriate gestures yet they have the highest amount of teen pregnancy by percentage or something stupid like that.

Yeah, I heard that, actually. That's pretty dumb. He still graduated, though, so it's not THAT big of a deal.

It sounds like a zero tolerance rule. I think all zero tolerance rules are being enforced by zero intelligence people.

Well, it was more than a kiss, he also pulled out a necklace his family had given him, and pointed at them. When he went up to get the diploma, the lady said he didn't deserve it because of his innapropriate behavoir. News said he's getting his diploma now, anyway...

Well, you can sue the school for that kind of things. You're missing 9 months of a job for school. There would be compensation needed if this kind of thing happenned.
