steelix prime

this guy seems like he has all kinds of potential.
140 hp steel type (so he abuses special metal)
resistant to psychic. (cursegar gardegallade)
for 4 energy he does 100 (including dce)
he self charges, is a stage 1, and is immune to all special conditions.

I'm currently testing him in a Flygon deck with a Nidoqueen tech. Leftovers is beast with this card :) I think it does have the most current-format potential of all the primes.

I personally can't see a single use for Steelix Prime yet. But I do believe he is more versatile than Ursaring. I am still a firm believe Ursaring is the worst prime we have been given to date.

^I disagree completely. All of the primes are better. It's too slow, although I admit that it has tank potential, it does not hit for much damage at all. Also consider that after the rotation, Charizard is expected to be one of the most dominant decks in the format.

Yes. That is the ABSOLUTE worst prime yet.

Anyway, back on topic, I don't see why you would run Steelix prime. It's WAY too slow, even with it's first attack, and it's damage output for the second attack is not that great for the amount of energy. Sure, DCE does speed it up, but, for 1, it's a non searchable.

Plus, with Onix's new errata, Steelix just won't cut it without all that rapid healing.

It would have been pretty good with the Onix, but they just had to change the effect.

They didn't change it the corrected after they got it wrong, they should give Bangiras a job, the translation would be sorted 2 months sooner and we could keep up with Japan (give or take a month) and even keep the original names

you guys are silly
it self charges so t3 100

You actually have to get Energy in the discard pile first before you begin to "self-charge" yourself, plus if you want to start self charging T1 you will need a DCE and a BTS as well as a Steelix prime in your hand...

Highly situational. It's isn't worth it just to be a main attacker and as a tech i see no use for it.
