Something that annoys me on the TCG trade forum.

Why is it that people list all of their cards that they have, and then when you are interested in them, they say the cards aren't for trade? I seriously think there should be a rule that you aren't allowed to list cards that aren't up for trade. It would make things a lot less frustrating.

That's just my 2 cents on the issue.
 
Yea i don't get it why peoples list all of his/her cards even if it was not for trade.
 
umm, people will show off there cards. Theres nothing realy wrong with that, you never now, they may trade it up.
But if someone that says: Purple - Will not Trade

It's just one of those things that I've come across a lot lately. But not a lot of people mark the cards not for trade. You go to make a deal with one of these cards, and all of a sudden, it's not for trade.
 
Yeah, a thread about this was made awhile back. And I agree with you, it's absolutely pointless. They're just showing off their cards.

I disagree. I list all my cards to better keep track of them. Most people don't list cards they don't have for trade, but if someone does, that's their business, whether or not they clearly mark it.

I myself use strikethrough tags to show cards I have but aren't for trade. It would be an even bigger hassle, I think, to add cards and erase cards every time you change your mind.
 
Well, for one thing, if a person lists all their cards in their Trading Thread, it is their problem. If it annoys you, then don't view the Trading Forum, as simple as that. But it isn't in your hands to prevent other members from listing all their cards, even the ones they won't be trading, in their Trading Thread.

I used to list cards that I won't trade, just to make my job of listing and removing cards from my list much easily.
 
Hehe... If I'd list all my cards on my trade thread (not on this forum, cause I won't trade here) I'd have to put it like... "Every card there is from all english pokemon TCG set, exept the ones on my wants" And THAT would be showing off :p

In my list I only put in cards that are in my trade binder and are so for, for trade. If I don't wanna trade something, it won't be listed on my haves. That simple.

I don't aprove that people keep some cards on their have list when they aren't for trade. Aspecially when over half of them seem not to be for trade. For pure card listing purposes, you should make a complitely separate list on your computer, for your eyes only. It creates major confusion and unnesisarry posting in the trading forums when people keep asking again and again "Is this for trade? Not? Okey, what about this? Not? Then what is for trade?" I consider that SPAM :/. Sorry!
 
While I do not trade, I think that for people such as PMJ that like to use it as a way to keep track of their cards, should put a special spot of their thread dedicated to cards that they are not willing to trade, while all the tradable cards are set in the main part of the thread.

well, I agree with what your saying....its pretty much just bragging and I can see why its annoying.

PMJ-If you wanna keep track of your cards, just make a list on Word or notepad.....is it THAT important that EVERYONE sees it on a TRADING thread???
