Those of us who got this months Nintendo Power Issue probably saw this article in the magazine. There is a guy who actually mad a life sized SNES working controller for the SNES and it is a Coffe Table also. This is not a joke and I wish I knew how to upload the photos to prove it. I the magazine it also says you will actually need a friend to help you play Super Mario World. It measures about 3 feet long and about a foot wide and you have to plug in the controller to the system and the wall I think for it to operate but it can be used to play any game on the SNES but it is life sized. Dmaster back me up please. Thanks. It is no joke.:)

I googled for the image, but I could only find giant SNES controllers or NES coffee tables. If thats what your talking about, it's unpratical for a controller. I'd buy it just for the table design because it looks great.

Link for anyone to see what I found

The SNES one in my magizine of Nintendo Power works to play as a regular controller though. dmaster will have to take pics to proove that it is true. I can get the full article and type it up but I can't do the pics though.:) EDIT Here is the article:

Title of article: A Firm Grasp
Subtitle: Attack of the giant SNES Controller

Good luck trying to get a grip on this bad boy. Inspired by an Australlian fellow who built a giant, NES-controller coffee table, (SD you are right sorry)Super NES enthusiast and woodcrafter Matt Laboone set out to create it's upgraded counterpart. "I am a huge SNES fan," writes Laboone in a blog post explaining the project. "It's what I was raised on, so even though the curves make it a difficult controller to shape, I decided to give it a try."
It took him the bulk of a summer and a lot of hard work to accomplish his mission, but the results are simply outstanding. Measuring a little more than 3 feet wide, this larger-than-life Super NES controller is fully wired to deliver intense retro gaming action. Though the Controll Pad and buttons are designed to be a confortable arm's lenght apart. It's hard to imagine playing Super Mario World without a friend lending a hand. To help you fly and jump in the games also so yo will need help when playing with this huge controller.XD -NATHAN M.

This is the exact article. If it should not be here mods please PM me incase it is foreging. I don't know that it is so please let me know and I will delete the article. I just want the members to see it. That's all.:)

Calm down you don't need anyone to back you up.

If you want to upload a picture from a magazine you need a scanner. If you don't have one, there's probably something if you search bing. Google probably won't be as accurate.

I can't back you up because my NP hasn't come yet (lame). I could believe this story though. It seems really cool.

dmaster out.

I have a scanner but don't know how to operate the scanner though. It is a 3 in one machine too.:)

Could you upload them when you do get it? The article is near the back of Volume 249.:)

Yeah, that's going to have to wait until I can get the issue. >:[

I've read it.

Man, can you imagine playing Super Metroid on that thing? o-o I'd be like, "COME ON! Just let me make it back to my ship befoe I blow up agai- Never mind." xD

My question is, how on earth do you connect the wires? That guy must be really smart if he can build the thing, AND wire it.

Ya, I read this at barnes and noble. I saw this, and started brain storming ideas for similar things. I thought of a remote mat. People always lose their remote right? It should be a mat on the floor where you change the channel with your feet! Anyways, it's a cool table. I wonder if anyone has gotten far in the game using that.

+1 to Australia =D

But thats awesome; a controller of that size would take ages to build.

Yeah when dmaster gets his issue then he will upload the pics. Sorry I was wrong about the coffe table part but it was from the same guy though. I added an extra line so no one could accuse me of forgery though but the article is pretty much exact except for the last line though.:)

Where'd I get the other pics? I made the controller, guess I didn't clarify in the last post. I took the pictures as I made the controller. I'm hoping to make a few more videos of actual gameplay with it, so keep checking the links on the blog to youtube.

...I had to store it in my guest bedroom for now... takes up too much space in my room.

Are you the guy that makes them? If you are that controller is EPIC.:)

That's might be the SNES Controller coffee table they are looking either, Shade. You can also store any items in that coffee table. I think everybody is very excited to have this.
