Sick Hamster?

I have a Dwarf Siberian Hamster, which is, best I can figure, 1 1/2 years old.
In the last few days, he hasn't been eating, drinking, or moving very much.
He just sits there with his eyes closed, and he breathes shallowly. (Is that a word? =3) He doesn't have Wet Tail, or that fungus thing. (I clean the cage regularly, and there is no mold.)
I've googled it, and the only thing I can come up with is a Stroke, but I dunno.
I thought maybe someone who has owned a Hamster or knows anything about it might be able to help.

EDIT: I just looked at him, he doesn't have redness around his nose or eyes.
 
I know you can't really rush to the vet or anything, but I'd reccomend getting a professional to check on it. My sisters gerbil died doing the exact things you mentioned. :'[
 
Well, I would go to the Vet, but I wouldn't want to spend $60-100 just to find out I can't save him.
I'm a bit worried. :'(
 
Yeah, but then again I guess the big gash she had on her side by jumping out of her cage the day before last. So you shouldn't be to worried. You'd think I'd know a lot about hamsters what with me having about 4 altogether. But I was young when I had them so most of them died by miscare. I feel really bad now that I thought about all the poor animals I've killed... :[ But I take care of my rabbit, now that I've actually seen the death of my Guinea Pig. (It was eaten by a stupid street dog we let in our house... We had it for three days and he had an owner. But one day my little sister opened the cage for the things last lunch. >:[)

Hopefully he will get better, but It might be kinda bad, since his Cage needs to be cleaned, and I can't get him out of it. :/
What kinds of Hamsters did you have? This my second Siberian, and I had a Golden one a long time ago. The first Siberian didn't live very long either.
(Although I did get it from someone else, so I dunno how old it was at that point.)
I suppose he's pretty old for a Dwarf Hamster, but I would hope that he would live to be at lease 2 years.
 
We have an under tank heater ( like you would use for lizards) and when our gerbils act that way, we put it under that tank. I don't know if it sickness or something else.
 
Awwww... i'm so srry for you, we had a dwarf hamster too... one day he was very weak... couldn't move anymore, didn't eat... the next day he passed away )': he was already 2 years old... so pretty old for a dwarf hamster...
 
ah dude take him to the vet, i had 3 hamsters about 5 years ago in 6th grade before (two dwarfs) and 2 of em died sorta the same way.
