Discussion should Game Freak, focus on making a game that is inovative and fun, or another nostalgia bait? What would be something new and fun to you guys?

We have seen new spin-offs and Legends: Arceus, so I’d say they’ve tried a fair number of innovations. Continuing to find fresh takes on the core series games rather than just repeating the Legends formula would be cool though.
Of course, a lot of Pokémon’s spinoffs have been based on existing games or genres, so perhaps innovation isn’t the right word for all of them. At the same time, this introduces people like me who are more Pokémon super fans than video game super fans to genres we wouldn’t otherwise have played.
I’m personally thankful Pokémon gave the Mystery Dungeon series a chance, as Explorers of Darkness has been one of my favorite games in the franchise, up there with Legends: Arceus.
As for things Pokémon could try that others haven’t, that’s a little more difficult to answer.

I think they should try to come up with new things. Gamefreak should have tried to make battles like they are in the show. The new battle structure in Z-A seems kind of disappointing, but at least they tried.

As for me, the Pokémon series has long balanced innovation with nostalgia, a strategy that has both captivated and divided its fanbase. While titles like Pokémon Legends: Arceus have introduced fresh gameplay mechanics, some players feel that the core series remains tethered to familiar formulas.

I feel like they desperately need to go back to 2D. I think a lot of 3d pokemon has been downhill and something like an octopath traveler 2.5D would be the perfect niche for gamefreak to fill. It's clear they've done their best work in the 2D space, and returning to 2D or 2.5D would be a welcome return.

Honestly, I’d love to see Game Freak focus on innovation and fun. Nostalgia definitely sells (and I'm not mad about the occasional throwback), but it would be refreshing to see them take risks—new regions with deeper stories, more open-world elements that actually feel alive, or even branching into different genres like a cozy sim/RPG hybrid.

That said, nostalgia is kind of like wearing a bra you’ve had since forever—it might feel familiar, but if it’s not actually supporting anything new, it’s just holding you back (literally and figuratively 😂). Maybe it’s time Game Freak checked their creative bra size calculator—because what fit back in 1996 might not be what they need now to keep things uplifting!

So yeah, innovation please. And also, yes to a Pokémon game where we can finally customize our stories as much as our outfits.

And it's not only about Pokemon games but about any other games. I like when he has some crossovers, updates, and so on, but playing something new is always more interesting. I also like playing some casino games, but I can play the same game a few times, and then I always look for something new. And the choice is huge, so it's not a problem. Here is the site https://kaszino-world.com/befizetes-nelkuli-bonusz/20-euro/ where I've been looking for new sites to play, which also offers 20 euro no deposit bonus. I like such a bonus the most, and on that site, you have all the info needed to choose the best site to try. So I don't see a point in playing the same games again and again. If you can try something new, maybe it will be even better.
I agree with you. I like games that make you nostalgic, it's a good feeling.
But I prefer trying something new, having those fresh emotions.
