This is a thread for the discussion of shiny pokemon, whether it be the normal games, Pokemon Rumble, Pokémon Tower Defense, or shiny Pokémon cards. Share stories about encountering shiny pokemon or just tell which shinies you like or don't like and why. Even post pictures or videos of your shiny encounters here.

What's your favorite shiny Pokémon? How many and which shinies do you have? Do you ever hunt for shiny pokemon?

I personally love shiny pokemon and it's a huge part of pokemon for me. All of the shiny pokemon I've ever caught are in my signature, and I tend to hunt shinies often.
 
A forum dedicated to shiny pokemon and hunting them. There's a template for that shiny card on there. I'm not extremely talented with Gimp and someone else on that forum was kind enough to make it for me. Unfortunately, he disappeared which means I just have to list my new shinies beneath it.

Also, if people want to they can post pictures of shinies they get here also.
 
Does this count for pokemon tower defense 1 & 2? If so I have a ton of shinies, but the ones I found in game are 2 Pidgeys, Bellsprout, and Poliwag. All but one of my Pidgeys were found in PTD1

In the main series I have 4 shinies: Donaphan,Aron, Metagross, and more recently a Pidove. All are in my white 2. I got Metagross and Pidove in white 2, Aron in white, and Donaphan in HeartGold.

Sure, I updated the first post to say it includes any shinies from any games you like. Also, I'm jealous of that Metagross, that's an awesome shiny to have!
 
Thanks for updating. If shiny cards count then I have shiny Chandalure, Zoroark, and Krookadile. I used to have Emboar and Flareon Gold Star.
 
I've got a shiny Charizard card from Plasma Storm, a shiny Yanma card, and a shiny Drifloon card. Also, I used to have Celebii star when I was really young, but I don't have it anymore. In PTD I've got lots of shinies, too many to list.

In addition, I've recently started a hunt in Viridian Forest in my Firered and Leafgreen. I'm hoping mainly for a Caterpie since I lost one a while back, but Beedrill is awesome too. I'm at 300 encounters for that.

Dunsparce. I really like blue-colored shinies, too (Mew, Corsola, etc). I tend to hate green ones and those too similar to their regular colors.

How many and which shinies do you have?

In the video games, excluding those obtained via trade, default, and those that I no longer have, about 18.

Do you ever hunt for shiny Pokémon?

Sometimes, but I rarely have any luck. I think I've only found about 3 while purposely looking for them.
 
Ones I hatched and caught myself would be:

Black- Aerodactyl, Audino
Platinum- Bronzong, Marill

Failed to obtain:

SS- Magneton (safari zone, got away)
 
What I caught: Zubat (Leafgreen)
Golbat (Leafgreen)
Zubat (Diamond)
Golbat (Heartgold evolved to crobat)
Sandshrew (Heartgold)
Sewaddle (Pokemon white 1, the story was I was looking for shiny Tympole, and after hunting for a hour, gave up and ran into pinwheel forest for one final encounter, shiny sewaddle)

Failed: Diglett. I caught it in leafgreen, but it somehow ran away... the game even said I caught it.
 
The only legit Shiny (and by legit, I mean one not programed to be Shiny) Pokemon I ever ran into was a Shiny Starly in the beginning of Pearl Version when you go into the grass for your first battle..... with no PokeBalls. :(

Failed:
Zubat: The chick with the kadabra KOed the zubat, I couldn't possibly catch it since my poke was slower and you can't throw pokeballs in a double battle
