So does that mean that deafen doesn't stop supporters?
If so, can i still play supporters and stadiums after a Gastly SF pitch-dark'd me, or if i or my opponent have a spirtomb A as active ?
I always though that when deafen says "trainers" it meant supporters/normal trainers/stadiums

Prior to the release of Diamond & Pearl, Trainers included normal Trainers, Supporters, and Stadiums.

Now each is its own subdivision. Dialga G's Deafen does not stop Supporters (only Trainers and Stadiums), and Gastly's Pitch-Dark and Spiritomb's Keystone Seal only stop trainers (not supporters or stadiums).

Note that cards before the release of Diamond & Pearl that refer to 'Trainers' includes all 3.
