Is there anything other than Wailord (not meta), Magnezone (meta) and tyranitar (meta) that RDL doesn't kill in one hit?

Tyranitar has a -20 resist to psychic AND 160 hp, making it very hard to kill; thankfully, tyranitar can't ohko it back. Magnezone has 140 and resist, so it can be killed with ruins of alph or a pluspower.



So, would Rayquaza/Deoxys legend with pluspower and ruins of alph be a powerful threat?
 
it really depends on the situation.. Stantler is going to be a big starter now, and can hit for 60 after weakness and confuse for 3 energy.. so 60, then 30 for confused and a failed attack, then 60 again. Bouffalant will also be huge, and the revenge attack will revenge KO your legend.

so, either way, you're likely going to do the same 2 prize for 2 prize scenario.
 
Bouffalant, yes;

Stantler? No. If they attach a dce to stantler, its far too obvious that they're going to attack with it... When they DO attack for 60, i'd just retreat then kill stantler for a free prize!
 
you may be right on the stanter, but carlitosbob is referring to a stantler start with one energy on it for call for family, then next turn, you send our RDL and stantler attaches the dce for 60 to you, but that knock out is based off a coin flip from your end. but bouffalant will be a big problem and could cost you the game. RDL can be a good card in the new format, but you will have to watch out for bouffalant's revenge
 
Despite a few weakness, RDl is good. The ability to take two prizes every turn with this guy is great, and considering you can OHKO almost everything in the format is better. RDl can also consistently keep attacking turn after turn due to Energy Retrieval/Fisherman + Emboar.

If you're going to run RDl as a deck, then you definitely need to run a backup attacker. Cards like Boufalant and Cinccino are a problem since they can one-shot RDl for two prizes. As a tech, anything that uses Emboar and can afford to squeeze in two Lightning Energy. Magnezone/Emboar and Reshiram work.

Trust me, it's worth sticking RDl into your deck. However, look at it in an HS-on format, since as long as we have Uxie Lv.X and Garchomp C Lv.X around, RDl isn't going anywhere.
 
I don't see Cinccino as being a good deck, but it is easily dealt with by ANY secondary attacker. There are no real good psychic attackers in the entire game... but all of them are ohko'd by RDL anyway (weak to psychic = 300 damage)

Bouffalant is unavoidable - Drop him, DCE, bam dead. We'll have to see if bouffalant becomes a common tech - however, we should be able to see them get him most of the time (i.e they collector and get him) so we will know not to play RDL.

If you run RDL, you could run Entei Suicune Legend as well, with legend box. If you have 2 sets of legends, it might be viable... ill have to test it
 
Bouffalant is a surprise. Meaning they can search, drop, and KO all at once and you'll never see it coming. Mew prime could be a decent attacker, and I see Gothitelle (sp?) Becoming a popular deck. I think RDL would be best as a 1-1 tech in Reshiram for a surprise finish.
 
just make reshiboar witha RDL as a second attacker. throw in legend box's/communication and you should be fine
 
I am actually surprised at how well this card preformed when I tested it, it is making me eat some unkind words I have said in the past about it.

Have to say it is looking pretty good with Emboar, we will see how it preforms at Nats.

With the loss of Garchomp and Uxie, I don't think it has problems with its weakness asides from Bouffalant.

I thought every ReshiBoar was using a 1-1 RDL tech?? I mean, it's just an obvious addition to make to get those 2 quick and easy end of game prizes.

Bacon's an awesome nickname for Emboar btw lol, and RDL definitely helps in the mirror as well. Unless everyone starts running it. Then it doesn't do anything...
 
Probably, but ReshiBoar is better than ReshiPlosion because of more energy accel along with the fact that you'll lose to ReshiBoar and Zekrom, two of the top decks next season.
 
RDL can't 1HKO a Steelix Prime (even with no special metals) and a Scizor Prime with 4 special metals can survive a hit too (of course if RDL has a Rescue Energy or Rainbow Energy attached Scizor takes no damage at all.) So steel tank decks with Klinklang and max potion/blissey prime/seeker/super scoop up may be a bad matchup for RDL.
 
Like I said, you need a backup attacker with RDl to deal with Cinccino and Afro Bull. Reshiram helps with Steelix/Scizor.

I think Reshiboar with RDL vs steel tank decks is a 100-0 matchup.



Also @ Gliscor, I think RDL is best used to get the final 2 prizes. at that point, you can burn all your junipers and junk arms and stuff for that one last KO.
 
Ppffffttttt I'll easily beat a fire deck with my Steelix/Scizor.
